"I found Chester to be responsive and his workers were polite and considerate.  They were on the work site everyday during the week and worked some weekends as needed.  We moved out during part of the renovation and that allowed the construction crew to make good progress.  Having done smaller remodeling projects and work with contractors who were not working everyday as they juggled multiple job, I found that Chester planned the availability of the crew well.
He also made good recommendations on changes to the design when we needed or wanted to modify the original plans.  When I checked references before we hired Chester, past customers told us to listen to him when he made suggestions for a better way to proceed.  They were right - he has good experience and is creative.  He was also familiar with the permitting process for our village and known by the building department.  That was helpful as well.
Chester is a good listener and works to meet your needs.  A big issue for me was making sure the brick selected for the new sections matched as closely as possible to the existing house.  He provided me with a number of options and I elected to mix two the options. The result is great and many people have been impressed by how closely the brick matches.
Since we did so much work, there have been a few repairs due to settling.  Chester has remained responsive and gotten his crew to come out to fix these items.  The overall quality has been very good.
The only thing you don't get with Chester is the project management - that's what helps him keep his prices reasonable.  You do have to be willing to take on that aspect and stay in close communication with Chester.  That said, I am very pleased with the work and with our experience using Above & Beyond Construction.

"We've needed a major staircase upgrade for years and got Caesar and his crew to do it. As we decided on this we mentioned our half bathroom on the main level. He gave us a very fair price on the labor for that, and in fact was able to get us a beautiful and custom made vanity and top. The workmanship is top notch and all the men in the crew are very personable. Caesar not only listens, but he readily ask you questions as to your input on how things be done to your liking. The stairs and powder room turned out beautiful. We've already told Caesar that his services for another project will be needed in the fall."

"Paul was great! Always on time and finished the work in a timely fashion. Nice clean-up when they were finished . He helped us brain storm through problems as we did our condo renovation. For us he removed a wall between kitchen and dining room, relocated and replaced electrical, renovated a bathroom, installed floor, painted , added lighting. "High Quality Painting does far more than painting and we hired them to renovate and expand our kitchen and relocate our bathroom. My wife and I are an interior designer and architect, respectively, and drew up the design ourselves, which included some high-end finishes. Salvador made several recommendations that we followed to improve the design. His team was polite and worked 8am-5pm, six days a week, until the work was complete. Any home renovation is going to be painful for the residents, but Salvador and his team reduced our discomfort and anxiety with good communications and effective dust control measures. His costs were fair and well-documented and he worked to make sure we were completely satisfied. He even had his team make improvements to our HVAC (that we had not asked for) to improve the air flow in the home. We had one call back for a correction, which Salvador promptly fixed. My wife and I highly recommend Salvador and his team and would definitely hire them again."

"I’ve always wanted a second bathroom. I contacted JK Complete R&C. Jack came to my home and assessed the would be project. Jack gave me a reasonable price, start and proposed finish date. Then I met the crew John, Mike and Ziggy. We had a great relationship. Everything that was to be accomplished was explained to me on a daily bases. By the end of the project we had a bond and it felt like family. I also learned quite a bit in the process. I am total fascinated with my new bathroom. "Just got done with a Kitchen Remodel with Biango Construction – and it was GREAT! Nick Biango and his team were skilled, professional, on-time, clean and did beautiful work. The cabinets they built are top of the line – and are as good as if not better than the Thomasville cabinets I have in my dining room and Thomasville built-in bookcases in my home office. If you don’t believe me, I have another testimonial from the village inspector. Nick Biango also built a deck for me last year (that was why I was so confident with having him back for the kitchen remodel) and when the inspector looked at my deck, he commented on the beautiful job and asked for the name of the contractor as he had some work he needed done and he appreciates best quality workmanship – high praise from someone whose job it is to approve work on building permits. "This pro did a great job! They completely renovated our 99 year old home. They tore out and replaced everything inside, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and even the old, out of code wall studs that were discovered when the walls were taken out. They replaced all doors and windows as well to give a seamless look inside and out. They also added needed accessibility features. Outside, Imperial 1 replaced siding on the back porch and garage, replaced the garage roof, replaced a sagging sidewalk, and cleaned up the exterior bricks. They worked with our lender's consultant, appraisers, inspectors and the village building department to give us a beautiful new home on time and within budget. "Jim and his crew did a FANTASTIC job of completely remodeling my two kitchens and bathrooms in my two flat building.These projects included beautiful new cabinets and counter tops ,lighting,electrical outlets,plumbing and flooring. He connected us with workers who added a backsplash to our kitchen, installed a new window to replace one that leaked, and painted the entire 6-room apartment. He was very flexible about scheduling and quick to respond to phone calls. The painting crew, lead by Gio, did a great job and cleaned up at the end of each day. Would definitely hire DAL again."
