"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"Denise responded quickly when I asked her for a quote. She gave me several options to choose from and even had samples of each option for me to compare. She also provided a very long list of companies that she has done work for. She helped me pick the window tint that would work best for my needs and the price was extremely affordable. She was  very professional and punctual. I couldn't be more happy with quality. I will definitely be using this company again in the future.  <br />"

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

"We suffered a grease fire in January that caused extensive smoke damage to our home. The home had to be totally gutted and redone. I found Kim Matte on Angie's List, called him, and he immediately came out and gave me a quote to do the install and repair to my home. The price was great and this man worked around the clock to get our house put back together. I had to make him go home and rest because he was that dedicated. <br /> He went above and beyond the call of duty and our home look awesome! We get so may compliments on how is looks that I totally love it. <br /> Kim is a great person and very fair in his pricing. I would highly recommend him for any home repairs you are needing done."

"<p>We just finished building our home.  We were in need of mirrors and some glass inserts for cabinet doors.  I called and requested a quote from SWLA Glass and Mirror, LLC located in Moss Bluff, LA.  Ty and Chad both came to my home and measured everything.</p> <p>They informed me that they also offered numerous glass options for cabinet inserts and did glass shower doors.  Ty contacted me later that day with a quote.  I called around to ensure that I was getting a fair deal and They were very competitive.  I contacted Ty and he was willing to negotiate the initial quote.  I saved about $25 going with them.  They are a new business located in Moss Bluff.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>We scheduled a date for install.  Ty showed up at my house early that morning.  He wanted to double check measurements and see if I needed anything else, before they started cutting at their shop.  I did add two additional glass inserts for a couple more cabinets.  Ty texted me and give me a time they would be back to install.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Before they came back to install, I got a call from school saying there was no bus driver for the afternoon.  I contacted Ty and explained that they could come and begin installing, but I would have to ask them to leave and come back to complete install after I picked up my daughter and returned home.  He stated that it would be fine and we did so.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>They did a great job and THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD!!!!!</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I would use them again.  <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Oakdale, LA

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
