"We received great service from ServicePro Carpet Cleaning...I called on a Wednesday and Troy was responsive and was available for an appt on Friday. He did a great job cleaning our two large sodas and six dining room chairs sharing Before and After photos throughout the process! He even got a large red wine stain out of one of the sofas! Thank you, Troy!"

"I was initially looking for carpet replacement for a move-out (about to put the house on the market). I thought they needed to be replaced since there were so many animal stains and buckling. Antoine came out to give an estimate and said he was confident they could clean it, and it would be a lot less. I went with that option and the difference was night and day -- they cleaned and stretched the carpets to remove the buckling, and they look new again! I'd definitely recommend this company."

"I was running a sporting event at a local basketball venue and the septic tanks somehow backed up in the entire building. The venue owner was out of town and I had no one else to help. Peachtree Carpet cleaners quickly came to help by getting all of the water off of the floors and cleaned the bathrooms which ultimately saved the basketball gym floors before it got flooded too. They had literally just installed brand new flooring before we used the facility so the stress level was through the roof. I couldn’t have been happier because our event continued as if nothing was wrong, while we were sweating bullets worrying about why there was water coming from the restrooms. Peachtree Carpet Cleaners are fast and well worth the expense. I’d highly recommend them."

"<p>Shopping at the store was made easy by Tim McGlone as he is knowledgeable and relaxed.<br /> We had many delays before getting the floorings installed, and Tim was ever gracious and patient.<br /> All the work was done by skilled people who created calm and quiet as they worked. They also did<br /> a super job of keeping things neat as they worked, and the clean-up was as good as it gets. We are<br /> quite pleased with the results of their quality workmanship. One small item needed to be <br /> adjusted, which they were able to fix soon after. </p> 30083"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Oakwood, GA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
