"Wonderfully well. The rug looks like new. Everyone we dealt with at Dreyer's DKI was friendly, knowledgeable and forthright. A very professional team. We chose to deliver and pick up the rug, an approximately 8 x 10 handwoven wool rug we bought in Turkey. We requested their microseal protector to the cleaned rug at a small additional cost."

"They were prompt and professional and got the job done on the same day as they came to give me an estimate. The carpets looked much better than they did for sure. They left me with a maintenance solution as well. Excellent work but very, very pricey so be ready for that! <br />"

"From start to finish we were very well informed of the product, the process, price, and schedule. Absolutely no surprises and every aspect was completed as promised. We had a whole house, over 1600 sq ft to do including kitchen. I want to stress that I personally have installed hard wood flooring and laminate on several occasions and can appreciate the scope of work and difficulty of the labor involved. Jeff, our lead installer, was very professional and when faced with a short crew did not let it alter his schedule of 4 days to complete the installation. We are very pleased with the final product and would highly recommend East Coast Flooring (and already have) to other homeowners in the market for flooring. We visited more than 10 flooring stores before deciding on East Coast Flooring. A++++"

"Excellent. Flooring price was competitive with immediate availability. Recommended installer stopped by to provide cost estimate, which was reasonable. He also had no problem using part of the pulled-up carpeting/padding from the room to replace worn carpet on the stairs going down, which we wanted to match the bedroom on the first floor, a few feet from those stairs. Other installers would not do that. The installers showed-up on-time and did an excellent job on the installation of the flooring and the carpet. Once they left, we noticed an issue with the flooring, in that one of the edges of each piece had some adhesive from the manufacturing process, which we could not remove. We called Georgia Floors Direct and ultimately brought some leftover flooring to their store. We were met at the door by the manager, and after examining the pieces, he apologized, explained that he had already called the manufacturer telling them of the issue, explaining how this issue occurred during the manufacturing process. Since it was Thanksgiving weekend, he told on that on the following Monday, he would send our salesman and another person to clean each piece of flooring with some special cleaner he had, showing us how effective it was at removing the glue. Sure enough, they showed up on that Monday, on time, got on their hands and knees and cleaned every piece of the flooring (approx 400 sq ft). This took the better part of the day, but they did an excellent job. This was customer service at it's finest! It's been over 3-months and the floor looks great with no recurrence of the issue. Highly recommended!"

"Cyrus brings a variety of rugs to the home to see how they stand against the decor of the home. His first visit is to get ideas from the homeowner, takes a number of pictures to take the home's image back to his store.  He visited us on 4 occasions to complete the fit and installation.  His pricing is very reasonable for the type, style and quality of Indian, Chinese and other oriental style rugs.  He was on-time every time and LISTENED to us (a rarity  among many of the local contractors).  His selections were narrowed down by us  until we arrived at just the appropriate group of rugs that made an immense difference in the interior appearance of our home. He is as honest as the day is long, his workers are polite, efficient and very courteous.  Will use again if needed and recommend to anyone who takes pride in their home when improvements are needed or desired. <br />"

"Perfect. Bob (owner) is a great guy and Steve was very professional and excellent in his craft as the installer. Friendly, hard working and on-time. Great work, money well spent. They were very upfront with the costs, time frame, etc. Would call them again in a heartbeat."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Ocala, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
