"We got bids from 4 different companies and Homecraft was not the cheapest or the cheapest and during the home visit really explained the difference in the types of windows. Like everything else these days it did take awhile for the windows to get here but they kept me informed of the time line. When the original install date had to cancel due to illness they quickly rescheduled for a couple of days later and had 5 man crew that completed the job in just 5 hours. Very professional crew did the install including moving furniture and cleaning up after themselves. I highly recommend Homecraft for window replacement!"

"After seeing their product at the Minneapolis Home & Garden show we were convinced that this was the right product for our porch improvement work. The guys from EZ-Screen brought samples to our home to help us select frame color and installation method. They took careful measurements of all of the window and door openings and put our order in motion. A few weeks later our windows and door were delivered. <br /> <br /> We did this work at the same time we had some exterior siding work done by another contractor. We arranged to have that contractor do the actual installation of the EZ-Screen product. The rep from EZ-Screen came out to our site when the installation started to ensure that our contractor understood how to properly install the windows and door. "It went very well.  I had dealt with Ken Walsh on several remodeling projects in my previous home 2003-2006 and and this was his fourth job in my present house 2006-present - a sunroom, timber landscaping, some fencing and the latest flooring + kitchen job. Walsh Home Improvement is not the least nor most expensive out there but does fine quality work and Ken Walsh and his wife Kathy are easy and flexible to deal with. Ken Walsh will will work with you to recommend economies-with-quality to stay within a stipulated budget.  The only glitch was that most of the time when you phone you get an answering machine and on one or two occasions they missed my call and I had to re-call to get up with them - but this did not cause any real problems.  Also, Ken mislaid and did not RSVP to a post-job invitation to join an open house I put on to show off the flooring + kitchen remodel to neighbors.  But his wife later called to apologize when they re-found the invitation. <br /> <br /> Photos available.  Angie's List is authorized to provide my email address to persons desiring photos or more information."

"After 18 years, my wife and I started to renovate our home. We met with several companies (one of them being Advance). Prices were comparable with all of them, but quality of materials were not. We preferred the options that Advance offered and felt they were the right company for the job. I have never been a fan of high pressure sales techniques, up-selling or salespersons who’s answers are all about getting you to sign the papers. Rob, Advance’s sales representative, we found to be very personable. It was his knowledge and truthful answers that were the deciding factor in why we chose Advance for our first major home improvement job. We were installing solar panels and wanted to have a new roof installed before the installation. The Advance roofing crew headed by Adrian, were all very professional, friendly, and worked extremely hard during the hot summer heat in July 2019. We were so impressed with the roofing job and crew, in early 2020 we decided to continue our relationship with Advance and met with Rob again for our second job. This time a new 8 foot front door with side lights, family room french door, large foyer window, master bedroom windows in the front of the house and some cedar impressions siding accents. We were very happy with the job and quality of the finished work that Steve and Calvin completed. Like most jobs there are small details that need to be adjusted and these were dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction with our project manager Gary. In November 2020, we completed a third job with Advance in which we installed two more doors, windows, and additional cedar impression and board and batten siding. Most recently, we scheduled a fourth job for the Spring of 2021 to complete the remaining windows (I have over 40 windows in my home). I can not say enough about how much Advance has exceeded our expectations in every way—the quality of work, great crews and home office staff. They are friendly, requests and concerns are answered quickly by our Project Manger Gary and Sale Representative Rob. Based on the excellent rapport we have with the entire Advance team, we have decided to continue our relationship with them for all future home renovations, no need to look any further. We look forward to continuing our home projects with Advance, as we know it will be stress free."

"I got three estimates for the roof replacement. Bayside was the most expensive but had the best materials and warranty. I work in the trades and know first hand what a difference good materials and warranties provide. My original roof was installed improperly and not nailed correctly so the shingles delaminated and the roof needed to be replaced 10 years before it should have been. So having it done properly was very important to me. When the crew starting removing the roof they told me it was one of the worst installation they had ever seen. The crew worked hard for two days, did a good job of cleanup. There was only one slight issue, the pitch of my roof is 12/12 (45 degrees) and this was not told to the crew so they did not have enough boards to attach to the roof to give them an edge to stand on. The crew leader saw that I had some boards and asked if they could use them, sure no problem. Upon clean up the helpers loaded up the boards and took them away. After the job the supervisor came by to inspect the work (liked that very much) and he asked if there were any problems, told him everything went great but that they took my boards and would like them back. He said no problem and that he would take care of it. The next morning I had brand new replacement boards sitting on my porch. All I wanted was my old boards, they went above and beyond. They set up to have the manufacture inspector come out about three months after the roof was done. I have all of my warranty certificates and I will not have to worry the rest of my time living in this house."
