"KC came to measure the area, made some suggestions, and returned the next day with large samples in the color I requested. He explained the differences in carpet construction and materials and left some samples so that I could see them in different lighting and times of the day to help my decision-making. Once the decision was made, he quoted a reasonable price, including pad and installation. From the time I ordered, it took the 2-3 weeks for delivery, as predicted. Installers arrived promptly and completed the job perfectly. Phone calls to the office were answered by a real person (!) and all inquiries were answered. The floors look and feel great!"

"We just bought a house in Orlando. It has berber carpet in just about every room. The house has been rented for years and the carpets are filthy. Jim arrived on time, helped me move the furniture and explained the process. He was very professional; got to work and completed the job without a stop. I'm pleased with the quality and I'm sort of a perfectionist. A+ for carpet cleaning! <br /> Our lanai was filthy: built in 1992 and looks like it's never been cleaned. Manny and Gale arrived on time and did a thorough job. There was one area at the top that I thought they missed. Manny explained that mildew eats away the surface. I trust their judgement. It looks great. The screens look like new, the white frame glows and the patio area sparkles. They get an A. <br /> We plan to have both back in six months for a refresher. Also, we only did the downstair carpet, we need the upstair down. We also need the Florida room power washed. <br /> One more thing: Marie was very easy to work with. She was pleasant, professional and knowledge. She answered the phone right away and the work was performed within the week. <br /> Excellent. <br />"

"To be honest I couldn't have asked for better service. My appointment was for later in the day but they quickly called me and texted when they had a cancellation and said they could do the job earlier. <br /> I was updated when they headed to my house and they showed up right on time. Darrin was great, he explained all my options for cleaning and took me step by step through what they would do. Darrin was very detail oriented which was a huge plus but everything they did was awesome and they took the time to go above and beyond just carpet cleaning. I had a bunch of blind mosquitoes at the entry way of they house and they vacuumed them all up so they would come in the house while they cleaned. <br /> Very friendly and took the time to answer any questions I had. <br />"

"I received EXCELLENT help and assistance from this company in my search for carpeting.  Unfortunately, I had some unexpected expenses, and could not purchase carpeting after meeting with them.  But I will be back!  Great customer service!"

"Rex and Rex provide the best service at the best price. They are very professional, on time, thorough, very nice and neat. I went to work with old blue carpet on my outdoor patio and returned to new green carpet. They removed all my patio furniture, removed the old carpet, secured the boards, installed the new carpet and replaced my patio furniture exactly as it was.. I recommend Swaine highly."

"Vic did the job himself. He was punctual (early, in fact), professional and courteous. Just a really nice person doing an honest job. The carpet looks great and it was a fair price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and will definitely be using this company again in the future."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Odessa, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
