"Great. The salesman was easy to work with and talk through our space--actually helped us identify and purchase a cheaper carpet that met our needs just fine.  Was able to walk in and make the transaction in less than 10 minutes.  We used Matt for the install and he was great--came exactly when he said he would and was done exactly when he said he would be. <br />"

"<p>We used the Gladstone location on North Oak. Cathie knew her job well and explained to us the difference in carpet and pads. She was helpful and patient with the questions we ask. We were able to take home carpet samples to help us decided. After we decided she place the order which arrived on time and the installers brought it for installation. They were nice, friendly and hard working. The moved our furniture and replaced it as they installed. No damage to any of our things. They cleaned and hauled away all wrappings and swept the carpet after installation. We also received a piece of carpet in case we would need it in the future. </p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Gary was great to work with. He brought samples of carpet to the initial appointment, and helped guide us in our selections. I spoke to several on his list of installers, trying to find one to fit our schedule. They all seemed professional and eager to help. The day of installation, the installers got a late start, and then got lost on the way to my house. That was the only snag. They worked swiftly to install, and the carpet looks great. I am very pleased with the whole experience."

"Everything went great. When we went to the showroom Karyn did a great job at answering all of our questions and concerns and helped us pick out the flooring. Bill came out a couple days later to measure and we received a quote in the mail a couple days after that. The installation was scheduled for a couple weeks later and everyone arrived that morning as scheduled. They did it all - removed baseboards, the appliances, and the toilet. After the floor was laid they installed new baseboards, hooked up all of the appliances, and re-installed the toilet complete with a new seal. They even replaced a baseboard in our master bath. The workers were all gentlemen and professionals. You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. If I had to make a negative comment it would be that I could have used a heads-up on the dust that the installation would make so I could have covered some things to make the clean-up easier. But overall we are extremely happy with the results."

"Bob Brigden came out to my house to show me samples and see the work that needed to be done. I picked out a beautiful carpet, with advice from Bob on thickness of the carpet and we're expectations. The installers arrived on time and quickly went to work. It didn't take them long at all to tear up the carpet, put down a thick pad, and then install the carpet. They gave me my choice of what to use for a threshold how to doorway. The carpet looks great and I am just thrilled with the quality of the installation and the carpet. Rigdon's also installed the carpet in my bathroom a few years back. That was also an excellent job. So when I need to replace carpet again, I know exactly who I'm going to call."

"It went very well.  It was big job and we have large furniture like piano, organ, big lawyer’s desk, big side board and big mirror.  They moved all the furniture.  It was like a $100 to move the furniture for us.  The individual who did the stair was meticulous, it was beautiful work.  They have been cleaning our carpets for a long time before we decided to change the carpets.  I knew the owner and I have worked with him for a long time so I trust him.  I have a relationship with this company for many years."

"We went in and met with Mr Bradford. He was courteous and very knowledgable about the type of rug we needed. After selecting multiple rugs that we thought fit our style and decor (we brought in photos of the rooms we were wanting rugs for) he helped with the suitable styles. He also offered to bring the selections to our home to look at in our actual rooms. This helped us to be able to chose the perfect rug for our rooms. We will certainly buy our rugs from him again in the future."

"The whole-house carpet replacement project was a full day of work.  The team was professional and moved all large furniture without issue. A third party company removed the old carpet from the driveway by the next morning. <br /> The two-man team was professional, courteous and worked with me to protect our furniture and belongings. <br /> The quality of carpet we chose was builder's grade, as we planned to sell our home soon after install.  Joe's Carpet does also carry very nice high-end options as well. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Odessa, MO

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
