"Kris was extremely responsive and came to give me an estimate within 24 hours and scheduled his guys to start a two day job (lots of square footage) within the next couple of days... I am blown away by how gorgeous my floors look! This is not the first time that I have had my stone floors cleaned and polished, and I was pleased with the previous contractor and had planned to use him again, but going forward, this is my "go to" company.... The areas that they have finished were water-stained and had some damage... THEY LOOK LIKE NEW!!!! Considering that some of my high traffic areas were pretty bad, the floors look FABULOUS!!! The workers were extremely professional and I am so appreciative that they were able to fit me in within the week's timeframe that I required. I was having a dinner party this past weekend, and got more than one comment about how great the floors looked. If you are torn about which company to use, I feel confident in saying that you will get quality work done without time wasted with these guys."

"Jeff and his crew at Arellano Masonry was absolutely amazing.  I was unsure what to do with a large driveway and adjacent front yard space.  Jeff came up with a beautiful circular driveway design and decorative planters that complemented the color scheme at my home.  The circular driveway solved the difficult problem of getting in and out of our driveway on a busy street.  He utilized the space so amazingly still leaving plenty of areas for decorative planters for bushes and colorful gardening areas.  
It changed the complete look of the front of our home.  I love it.  Highly recommend."

"It worked out well. I haven't gone up there to check the gutters myself. But they had a crew out, they worked. I think they did a good job. They came out the day after I purchased the Big Deal. I got them to give me an estimate to fix the leaks in the roof, but I thought it was too high, so I went with someone else. They did the job efficiently. They had a lot of guys out here. Very good price. I'm assuming it is done properly. We've had a lot of rain and I don't see any problems. I would use them again if they gave me that good deal. It was a good service, but the prices are high, unless you get a discounted offer through Angie's List. The estimate for the roof was very high. The young guys who did the work were really very professional. The job they did was good."

"I have been nothing but happy with America Green Builders. We got our system installed on March 2017 and the whole process from beginning to end was so easy and smooth. The representatives kept us informed every step of the way through the application process, filing for the permit and scheduling the installation. On the day of the installation, the trucks pulled up right on time and got to work. Since it looked like it was going to rain the next day, they got more installers to come later in the afternoon to finish the job in one day. The solar array is beautiful, neat and clean, and you can''t see any pipes at all. They left my yard and driveway clean. I can't believe how much energy I'm generating and my bills since March have been $12 or less every month. I highly recommend America Green Builders and I am more than happy that I chose them."

"Edwin Monroe is a very courteous and polite person.  He was always prompt and if he was running late, would always call ahead to let me know.  My wife and I were remodeling our house.  We needed to demolition one of our existing rooms to build two new bedrooms.  Although Edwin doesn't do demo work, he proved us with Fred's Hauling who did an excellent job.  Edwin, working with my general contractor, then proceeded to form the foundation area.  It took alot of work:  digging and then building the forms.  Edwin's crew consisted of hard-working men who worked in upper 90's to 100 degree temps.  They almost always left a clean work site at the end of day.  (I dare anyone to find a contractor and his crew who is 100% clean!)  We didn't  pass our first LADBS inspection.  Edwin and my GC misread the prescriptives (building codes) provided by the LADBS.  The foundation needed to be dug out another 8"!  This after the forms had already been built!  It added another 3 days worth of work and of course the original estimate cost went up.  I wasn't happy.  However, Edwin's crew kept working.  In the end, the Building Inspector came out and approved the work.  The concrete was then poured and the foundation looks beautiful.  As a side job, Edwin poured a concrete pad to my already existing patio.  This was a small job in comparison to the foundation work.  I had colored concrete that I told Edwin to try and match as best he could. We both decided on a color.  Edwin's crew built a form and poured colored concrete the same day our foundation was being done.  This job came out beautifully, too!  I was nervous about the new concrete color matching our six year old concrete, but it looks fantastic.  Overall, I'm very happy with Edwin's company.  Despite the mistakes made with the codes and not getting passed initially on our inspection, Edwin tried to be as fair as he could when he had to raise the price of the first estimate.  He is a fair and decent man with an extremely hard working crew.  I wholeheartedly recommend his company.

"GM Pacific Pro Construction As an avid DIYer , it’s rare for me to allow someone to do work for me. From home repairs , automotive, and electronics, my trust in others doing the job correctly has been a major concern- hence DIY. Because of the difficulty, time and my age, I contacted GM Pacific Pro Construction to give me an estimate on a roofing project. I’d seen the quality of work as they completed my neighbors new roof. I met Gil, who arrived on time to review my project. I found Gil, friendly, easy to discuss needs with and, most importantly, I felt fully confident in trusting GM Pacific Pro Construction to do a quality job. The price was right for me, so without a second estimate , I accepted Gil’s bid for the job. The work team , Gil included, arrived on time to start the job. Everything needed had been ordered ahead , and had arrived the day before work started. The work TEAM was obviously experienced, worked efficiently , and in one day I had my roof project done to perfection. I had no clean-up, no added expenses, and no disruption to my day. I’ve been part of and managed customer service teams , from 12 to 35 members , over 36 years for a major Corporation ;Gil and his team worked as “one” to smoothly finish my project. "We recently completed a major job with California Smartscape and are very pleased with the results and the process. Our job involved replacing a large driveway and two patio areas totaling about 1800 square feet and about 100 feet of walkway with pavers, synthetic turf in two backyard areas, replacement and addition of drainage systems on the 1/2 acre lot, removal of extensive overly mature landscaping and replacement with new plants, rock, and mulch, plus new irrigation throughout. We interviewed 5 firms for the job, and selected California Smartscape as the best overall balance of design and creative ideas, cost, and schedule. One main reason we choose them was the communication right from the start with our designer Andrew. Even at our initial meeting he was raising ideas and areas of concern that other companies did not address, and he listened very carefully to our likes and dislikes. His resulting design was a nice blend of his creativity and things we wanted, and as a result it was clear from the start that we would end up with something we liked. They weren't the cheapest bid, but their price was reasonable for work. I also liked that right at the beginning they highlighted several areas that would be TBD in the bid and the reasons why, indicating the potential issues they might run into once demolition began. Other firms tended to gloss over this, perhaps to not give the impression that there would be significant cost increases, but I've done enough construction myself to know what one can run into beneath the surface and what those can do to project cost. I appreciated California Smartscape setting proper expectations to avoid sticker shock later. The company was able to start the job fairly quickly, and we had a significant work crew at our house for the next couple months. The crew was always prompt and courteous, and they worked very hard throughout the day - it was clear that there was never any slacking off from these guys! Our project manager, Leo, was good at keeping everything flowing smoothly, and had clearly scheduled the work crews and materials deliveries so that there was no wasted time or off days. He was also responsive whenever we raised any issues (which were minor and rare) or had questions. We are delighted with the outcome, and we've had many wonderful comments from neighbors and passers by. We plan on staying in the house for years to come and hopefully won't be needing such extensive landscape work again for a long time, but we would certainly use California Smartscape again and recommend them highly."
