He also checked oitsode to see where the moisture could be coming in from. He was very efficient and helpful with providing information on air filters, remediation, and potential causes and how to prevent. We would use him again."

"We are moving into an older house with asbestos covering on the pipes. A representative from JBH came in for an estimate and gave us a very accurate idea of the overall cost. Something that we were not able to confirm at the time of the removal...we were told this was a family-owned business and that someone from the family would come in to do the removal. Neither of the men who showed up introduced themselves as part of the family... The men from JBH showed up on time (very polite guys), removed all the asbestos, and then brought us down to show the work they had done. We were supposed to bring in an independent contractor for air monitoring, but the people we reached out to never returned our calls (they'll get their OWN review on Angie's List). In all the craziness of our move, we forgot that we never actually booked an air monitering company. We called JBH the day of the scheduled removal to let them know about the situation and to see if we should reschedule - they ended up calling someone in on our behalf to do the monitering. Not the ideal scenario, but it was great that they did the extra legwork with practically no notice. We did have to call JBH ourselves to follow up on the air testing results, which was the one downside."

Since then, radon levels in that part of the house have been very low, so the problem was resolved. The work was done on budget, and they did an excellent job with scheduling and customer service. "I cannot say enough about John Martino! I have had mixed experiences with home inspectors, to say the least, and John just redeemed the profession in my eyes. He called within 20 minutes of my original call (later on a weeknight - I left a message, not expecting a response), and set up the inspection within days. He sent sample reports, and told me to set aside 4 HOURS for the inspection! He was on time, took off his shoes in the house, walked us through every aspect of the home, answered questions, and showed us how things worked. If he had any doubts about anything, he did additional tests, because he did not want us to be left to handle a potentially dangerous (or expensive) issue. He sent out a sample of a substance in the attic which may contain asbestos for testing to determine whether or not it was hazardous. He had limitless patience, sent us a 90 PAGE report with photos and arrows, etc, within 24 hours! Who does that? He's been responsive to us since the inspection as well as we've encountered questions. I will happily recommend him to anyone I know! Our cost included home inspection including wood-destroying insects and radon."
