"Marine Pool Renovations did an amazing job resurfacing and refreshing our in-ground pool and attached hot tub. From the preparation, to the application of plaster and opening up the pool (filling with water and ensuring the filtration system was working) for the upcoming season. The crew working on our pool were friendly and skilled. The job finished exactly as expected. Richard is a pleasure to work with and really listens and responds to all questions and keeps you up to date with progress and next steps. We highly recommend this great pro and will be sending any of our friends that need help with a pool over to Richard and Marine Pool Renovations!"

"They set the bar for customer service, of what a homeowner would want and need from a contractor. Extremely professional and responsible, and willing to provide advice, even after their work was performed. I will certainly use them for all of my future pool needs."

"I received an appointment for a two-hour time frame easily when I called. The office called a day in advance to confirm times. Repair man arrived promptly. He was polite, pleasant, efficient, and he cleaned up after himself. The original appointment was for two lamps, but he repaired a third that had developed the same problem during the same visit. The cost was as estimated. The work was completed within the original time frame."

"ng under a gate leading into my back yard so it could be secured at the bottom and not blow open when it gets windy and fixed the latch on another gate so it opened easier.
I may be leaving something out, but you get the picture. All these little things that can drive you crazy and take forever to find the right part to make work Tom fixed in two days.
He is professional, polite, a real gentleman. He came exactly when he said he would and worked the entire day through. He was fully prepared with what he needed to get the job done. So glad we found him and once we accumulate another list, we will ask him to come back (hopefully he won't be too busy!!)"

"Let's just say when I started I hated my living room - and kept wasting money on things that didn't help as well as making color and design choices that just didn't work (a constant source of frustration for me) … and now, after a few visits with Veronica my living room could be in a interior design magazine - not kidding. It's now hands down my favorite room in the house. What she did seemed so simple, and yet I've lived in this house for 8 years and the things she did, choices she made, just never would have occurred to me.

Oh the money I SAVED by hiring Veronica as well. Just by going with the contractor she recommended for the hardwood floors alone she SAVED ME SEVERAL THOUSAND dollars - so the $600 or so I've spent on her services were nothing - plus now I LOVE my home. I've always had kid parties at my house and now I could confidently host a black tie cocktail party too!

Besides making my home look beautiful AND saving me a lot of money in the long run, what I also really like about Veronica is her ability to both use what I already owned to re-do my home, but to also make gentle and appropriate recommendations for where and how to spend money when I'm ready to update this or that - such as new rugs on my hardwood floors, lighting, fixtures, furniture and wall hangings. Moreover, she's happy to research these things for me - which saves a lot of time since she clearly knows what she's doing … and going on the night and day difference in my home I clearly don't (ha! ha!).

How did this go over with my husband? He didn't understand why hiring Veronica was necessary or of value when I first told him about it, but after just her first visit he got it and has been equally as pleased with her work."

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Old Greenwich, CT

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
