"James and his crew just finished my yard this Friday afternoon. They did an amazing job. Let me start from the very beginning. When I called for a quote, James returned the call expediently and he came on site. He gave me a quote. The quote was in the ball park, but what was special about James is that he had a vision! He examined the grounds and immediately came out with a plan based on your needs. James started to work in this business when he was only 6 years old as this is family business of three generations. Even though he is still so young, he is so very experienced. My initial plan was to repave the driveway. But after they came that day, I told James that I would like to get the backyard patio and the retaining wall fixed. They decided to start the patio first before the driveway. They were flexible and sent a crew to work on the patio next day. The patio with the retaining wall was done perfectly. They even added a drainage pipe to divert the rain in the retaining wall. The path leading to the front door of the house needed to be done also. Again, James had a vision how the new path should flow. I adopted his plan. The crew did a fantastic job. As the back yard was uneven. The crew brought tons of dirt and levelled the back yard. They extended the size of my yard by at least one third into the woods. The yard was graded so that excessive rain would flow into the woods. I am extremely pleased with the result. Today was the last day. They had 8 or 9 crews on site. They finalized the stonework and paved the driveway. Everything was done as scheduled. I asked James to spread some pebble rocks next to the newly built path. He did it. James and his crew have exceeded my expectations! They delivered high quality work timely and professionally. They got an A in my book. The total cost of my project was $57800. It might look a little pricey, but a lot of work was done. To be specific, here is the list of work done: A good size patio with retaining all A path from patio to the driveway The walking path from the driveway to the front door of the house (long) Levelling the back yard Small wall around a good size flower bed (10x20 approximately Retaining wall by the driveway Repaving the driveway (85 feet approximately) A few days after the job was done and paid for, I found some imperfections on the driveway, James sent his crew over and fixed those imperfections. "Mike and his crew of expert builders did a fantastic job. Mike was offering a 20% off coupon, but even without that, his quote came in lower and with better materials than the other two companies I had quote (and I had already worked with one company on a large project). He came right out to look at the job and had a quote to me within 24 hours. He answered all my questions and we struck a deal. It took a little longer to get started than he said, but it was entirely due to the rainy weather we've had in July and early August. It seemed to pour on every start date we set. Nevertheless, he made my hard deadline with time to spare. He also did the job right -- making sure everything was level, that my plants were taken care of during the building process, ensuring that I was consulted during the building and that I had no questions, and (very important!) using the best quality materials. I am DELIGHTED with the results and know that I would not have received such excellent work or such an excellent price from anyone else. (Note that I didn't hire the company that I'd already done a huge hardscaping project with the year prior....). He even powerwashed my walkway and a concrete area as well as my driveway where he'd stored some materials. Mike is pleasant, customer-orientated, honest, and delivers above expectation. His crew is polite, efficient, and really good at what they do. I watched the guys who built the divider wall and they spent a lot of time picking through the pile of former-chimney rocks to find just the right ones and to lay them in perfectly. They were all so professional and nice that I shared a beer with them at the end of one day's work. Fantastic experience and end-result. Can't wait for the rain to stop so I can use it!"
