"This was a complex project with a lot of moving parts.
Several thousand square feet of patio, complicated pool coping and a significant amount of reconstruction. The land I gave Carl to work with was ugly and unstable.
I give Carl an A for time and price because of the value he brings to the table. Not because he's the cheapest or the fastest sprinter.
Some significant challenges materialized over the course of the job that added time and cost to the project. The great thing is Carl rolled with the punches, reacted fast, didn't compromise quality, and never asked for more money.
This was not an easy piece of land to work with. A 40 year old pool patio on shaky foundations.

"My husband and I bought an abandoned house (call it the secret garden ) on two acres three years ago that had hundreds unmaintained, fancy invasive plants and trees that were strangling and eating the house and each other. Since we moved in, three other landscaping companies from home advisor had checked it out but none sent a quote (I was told the job was too big, or that they didn t do removal-to call them back if you re considering adding plants or a patio .) Chris sent us a quote the same day he checked out the job and we hired him on the spot. He and his crew were so professional and they did an amazing job with tree and shrub and vine removal; they also topped off our driveway with fresh gravel and removed 5 years of leaves and detritus from around the house. It means so much to us- we can go outside and just enjoy our yard. We can see our house when we turn into the driveway! They did in two days what would have taken us 5 years or more. I didn t tell them this but I was feeling so discouraged based on those interactions with the other companies and I haven t had the same energy since I had some health issues a few years ago. It really meant so much to us that they did what they said they would and even went above and beyond, clearing dead stuff we didn t even know was there (couldn t see it under the live stuff). "Both Josephs were responsive, courteous, and knowledgeable- They called and came to look at the problem within half a day of my initial inquiry. I was lucky that they happened to be working on another house just a couple of blocks away. So, they came the next day to do work : 1. Fill cracks on the ground, and build a run-off in the alley way to stop water from damaging the exterior wall, and going down to the basement. The basement did remain dry after 2 days of rain after. 2. a few days later, replaced 2 cracked bricks on the facade of the house. I am very impressed with how Joe F. took time to seal the mortar around the bricks so carefully...beautiful work. I recommend them very much!"
