"Their bid was the same as the other 2 I got, but they were the only company with a mural artist on staff and insurance, so I went with Lakes. 
My new house has no window in the master bath and it looked like a hospital bathroom. Local artist Dean Stahl painted a mural to look like a window that matches the rest of the windows in the house and reflects my real lawn and surroundings, so it's just like really having a window. I'm so proud of it I have all my friends over and ask them to guess what's unusual about the room and I have to tell most of them, they think it's real!
The also took the nasty old brown cabinets in the baths and kitchen to a crisp white and did some minor drywall repair. 
The owner always answered my calls, texts, and e-mails the same day, and did an in personal walk through with me to make sure I was happy when everything was done. The estimator told me it would take about a week and it took 8 days including the art. 
In the end, the bill was exactly what I was quoted, and everything is gorgeous. That's what you get from a woman owned company, right? This is the best experience I have ever had with a contractor.
