"This is the second job Preferred has done for us. Last year we needed mold remediation done to our roof and attic. It was a huge job. All the workers were pleasant and tried to be as unintrusive as possible. Each evening they left my house spotless only leaving what was absolutely necessary. When the job was done, my house was impeccable. The owner told me that he does other types of work on homes, so when we decided to put in new windows we called Preferred to assist with the general contracting work. They made suggestions of window distributors for us to call and brought out the distributor they usually work with. We were also getting the house painted inside and out. Preferred is managing that project for us, as well. Their pricing was a bit higher, but not enough to give up the security of knowing we were in the best hands possible. They started work this week, and again, the house is immaculate and the workers and project manager wonderful. We do have the same project manager as last year. The reason for the B rating on promptness is that on both projects we got a bit of a later start than anticipated. However, once the projects were underway, they were at my house promptly at 8 and worked through the day sometimes until dark. When there was an issue (generally weather related), I always had a call giving me a heads up with numerous apologies. We aren't quite finished yet with this project, but I can honestly say that not another piece of work will be done on my house without consulting Preferred first. They give me honest answers regarding where to put the dollars. <br />"

"The body was found during a police wellness check. CSI was called by the local police department to transport the body. Once that was done, the floorboards of the room where the deceased was located needed to be removed and a bio-hazard barrier applied to the room. All of the clothing, bedding, towels, mattresses, cloth-covered furniture, window treatments, etc. had to be removed from the entire house. Walls and remaining furniture had to be sanitized. Floorboards were replaced and new carpeting installed. The only reason I didn't give them an A on Punctuality is because the work took longer than I expected. Warning to make sure everything you want to keep is on their written list. I "lost" things I thought were on the list, but with the chaos of the death, etc. they never got onto the list."
