I’m a hardworking person who doesn’t like to leave projects half finished or looking sloppy, I can be a bit of a perfectionist. I’ve always fixed and built almost everything I needed myself and I take pride in being self sufficient. I’ve been an electrician for a year and half now and before that I was fabricating aerators for private residences. I have a wife and two children, so I can handle the chaos of a whole house remodel even if you decide to alter any details halfway through.

"The technician was on time and professional. He climbed up on the roof and examined it. He reported that there was no damages, but a couple of shingles needed repair. He repaired the loose shingles for no charge This service gave me great confidence in the firm. I would use them in the future."

"Jimmy had several crews who did most of this project. If Jimmy supervised it, then it was more likely to be done well. However, many of these projects were completed by his subcontractors. He did not do a good job of supervising them. Specifically, we have paid $1000 to hire another contractor to repair the siding which was not installed correctly. Jimmy did send the siding contractor out to repair the defective work initially but even that repair was not done correctly.  The concrete drive was not installed correctly and we have had a few problems with the concrete reinforcement migrating above the concrete surface which was a problem for tires and bare feet.  The plumbing contractor installed the pex plumbing with automotive clamps instead of the required plumbing clamps. <br /> My daughter and son-in-law hired him to repair their leaky basement.  The basement still leaks. <br /> Personally, Jimmy is a great guy.  I think if he actually did all the work, then good outcomes could be expected.  But his crews are very poor representatives of his business.  Unfortunately the project suffers because of these sub contractors. <br />"

" The job was superb.  Outstanding work, with a great skilled crew that was always interested in pleasing the customer.  David Sugg is wonderful  to work with.  Absolutely my best building experience.  The whole project was fun and watching his excellently skilled crew was a delight. <br /> The customized sunroom looks like it is part of the house, the finishing and detail is superior.  We could not be more proud. <br /> David's efficent cost, skilled crew and positive attitude rates Pro Finih number one in my book of builders, contractors, and remodelers. <br /> Thanks David and Crew for an outstanding job.  <br /> We look forward to working with you on our next remodeling project ! <br />"

".The first conversation with John, the project manager, he told me the three things I needed to do as the homeowner. He asked my insurance company and gave me the 800 number to State Farm to file a claim. I got the name of the adjuster I would be working with. When I got the appointment to have adjuster come to my home, John met us at my home to be there to help me with the process. The very experienced adjuster was very impressed with John, the company and wrote me a check that night to get the work going. John kept me informed of everything. The delivery of supplies etc. It rained for 2 weeks after the supplies were delivered so the roof had to wait, but John called to let me know what to expect. One Saturday early in the morning a few days after the supplies were dropped off John came by because he had gone over the supplies sent and found that they (the supply company) had sent the wrong skylights. He brought over the correct ones and took back the incorrect ones. He also brought some tarp to cover some of the supplies. When the sun came out 10 days later he called to let me know the workers were going to be there on Monday. They were here and completed the job by Tuesday afternoon. John had told me it would take 2 days so when I came home after work on the first day I wasn't upset that they were not done. Two of my neighbors came to my houst to let me know how clean, professional and hardworking the people were. They landscape was protected during the roofing. The entire yard was cleaned up and a magnet roller was used to make sure every nail was picked up. John also came to my home during the project and after to make sure I was satisfied! <br /> John helped me pick out the roof color and the gutters. It may not seem like a big deal but it is when you are trying to blend new with what is already there. I guess I could go on and on but I hope I have pointed out the quality of the company Universal Builders of America. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Owensboro, KY

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
