"The salesman met us in our home on a Sunday within a week of our initial call. He was very professional and showed us a range of options at different price points. However, Costco does not sell "cheaper" carpet, so even the least expensive options were rather "high-end." We got a good deal on a very nice Shaw berber carpet with Stainmaster protection and a very soft upgraded pad, which makes it very comfortable to walk on barefoot. We were told it would be installed in less than 1 week, but it was actually about 2 weeks before installation. A couple calls to Costco's central number were required to follow-up on the situation before we received a return call from the installer. On the day of installation, they arrived earlier than the scheduled time and finished ahead of schedule. They do move furniture, but with some major caveats. We had to hire a piano mover to move our grand piano out of the way -- the installers wouldn't touch that. They also will not move any electronics, and they ask that drawers be removed from furniture (or emptied out if the drawers can't be removed). This wound up being very time-consuming for us. But overall we are very satisfied with the results -- a huge upgrade!"

"I have used Fred's in the past for carpeting and was very pleased with the result so I used them again recently for carpeting in our family room and decided to try them for tile work as well this time. Frank, who served us so well before, also helped us with this job. He was courteous helpful and professional as always! We has a rather complex tile pattern in the bathroom as well as some mistakes the builder had made with the walls (this was new construction) and nothing daunted the excellent tile team. They repaired the walls and figured out how to do the complicated work I wanted without blinking an eye. They were prompt, courteous and cleaned up beautifully afterward. The carpeting work was wonderful as usual for them. The tile manager was so precise and meticulous with his work that the glass shower people who put in the frameless surround said this was one of the best tile jobs they'd ever seen and made their job extremely easy (a common problem for them is doing frameless on a lot of tile jobs that were put in and aren't plumb etc., he said) I am going to use them now for my window treatments. Excellent work and VERY reasonably priced! <br />"

"I have used New York Carpets several times over the past several years. First when I had my old house they replaced a lot of carpet over the years and then when moving into my new house they installed bedroom carpet before this experienced. <br /> Obviously I keep returning for one reason only. They have very good prices, and do very good work.  <br />  They were prompt when they were scheduled to start work, removed the old carpet, and then installed the new carpet. The living room/dining room is one large room and there must be several seams to to get it completely covered. There work is so professional that you can't see the seams, which were also done as much as possible on the sides. When they did the measurements, they took time to fit the carpet with maximum coverage and minimal waste, reducing the cost further. When they were done, there was so little waste that I wasn't work saving for anything other than a small piece in the event there is a need to repair the carpet in the future. <br /> I would recommend them unequivocally and will use them in the future. <br /> They also have some other tile and simulation wood material. I purchased some of that for my former house as well as carpeting, and again the prices were quite good and work installing it was very professional. <br />"

"Estimated went great. Very punctual. <br />Email correspondence... Ehh... The email correspondence with the official estimate went great. However, setting up the appointment to get it done didn't go as well. He offered me a date and time and when I responded that I would like to take it I never got a confirmation email, despite my sending 3 emails to confirm. This turned out to be a problem since the day and date didn't match. He said Monday the 24th. Well Monday was the 23rd. So on Monday after waiting for around 1.5 hours I called again (I had called at 8:45am but they were not open yet) and discovered I wasn't on the calendar until Tuesday. -_- <br /> <br />On Tuesday Jimmy showed up and he was FABULOUS! He ripped out my old carpet and installed my new quickly (and it looks beautiful). He showed up on time and was very professional. He even answered all the questions I threw at him, really he was just wonderful!!! <br /> <br />All in all, despite the scheduling problem, I would definitely use them again (especially if I was lucky enough to get Jimmy). <br /> <br />"

"Tenant had left our living room carpet badly soiled so we called Quality Carpet Cleaning after researching the Angie's List. We were confused when a van from Sunshine Carpet Cleaning arrived at the appointed time but was assured he was with Quality Carpet Cleaning. We were delightfully surprised when he was finished since the carpet was really clean except for a small yellow stain which he said was permanent with is much better than before. Yes we would hire them again."

"John and the staff at Alden's Carpet and Drapes are absolutely the best.  They're friendly, knowledgeable and work to your schedule.   We installed new carpet in two large master bedrooms, a hallway, landing and stairs.  The installation crew arrived at 7:30 AM, moved all the furniture, including an upright piano, had the old carpet and padding removed and new padding and carpet installed and the furniture back in place before 11:00 AM.  These guys are the greatest."

"The work they do is excellent.  They arrived on time, installation was very fast and they clean everything up before they leave.  In 2002 they also installed hardwood floors and carpeting so I was a repeat customer.  Their prices are a little high but to me it was worth knowing I was going to have an excellent job at the finish.  The job was scheduled for 2 days and they were done in 1 1/2. <br />"

I am ready to redo the kitchen and dining room floor . I walked in to look at what they had in the showroom. All the helpers were in the office and never welcomed me, nor did they attempt to help me in any way. I decided to walk out. If they don't want to wait on their customers, I can go elsewhere...and I did."
