"The kitchen floor was a very difficult job because it was done in a busy kitchen. There was a lot of pressure to get it done quickly to limit revenue loss. I deal primarily with the Ed and he is always very responsive. His installers are excellent and clearly seasoned. They will not tell you they can do something that they can't even when you really want them to. The job got done in time and was completed properly. Cinderella is our go to for flooring work."

"I called literally 15 hardwood floor dealers on Angie's list and was desperate because I was under an extremely tight tight line to move out of a rental place get the floors done in my new house (3 weeks).  Bob gave me a heart attack when he said he could not only give me a quote but do the work in under 3 weeks (others couldn't do it for two months) and still wanted to charge me for a quote even though they couldn't do the work.  He came over to my house and looked around and gave me a quote within the day.  I came down to his shop the next day and picked out a hardwood floor.  He is not only professional but has an extremely great personality.  He is extremely accommodating when arranging to drop off contracts and picking up payments if you work full time and the workers did a great job on the floor installation.  I was just giddy with the quality of the job.  I would highly recommend them.  He even gave me a cleaner for the floor and floor dots for the furniture.  Thank you so much!! <br />"

"We scheduled the cleaning on a day that was raining and the guy (sorry - I forgot his name) was fine with rescheduling since the carpets would have taken 10 or 12 hours to dry with all that moisture in the air.  That was great - but we were thrilled with the work when it was finally completed.  They were fast and every efficient.  All the carpeting and rugs looked new.  They got out some wine stains and coffee stains that we never thought would be removed.  I would not hesitate to call them again. <br />"

"Salesperson "Jonna" gave us a complete estimate. Helped us select the best carpet at the best price for our needs.  Arranged to have installation several days before Thanksgiving.  Provided us with boxes to help pack china/fragile goods to empty furniture. <br /> Installers were on time, finished job quickly and provided excellent service. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Pacific Grove, CA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
