"The installation of my flooring went incredible!!! I can’t imagine what it may have been like with another contractor with the amount of repairs and unexpected repairs. Terry has great integrity and pride in his work and the finished product. He made sure to check the whole house for dips, sags, and buckled spots in my previous 11 year old flooring before putting the new luxury vinyl in. Terry made sure to explain to me why these needed to be cut away and repaired to ensure the best foundation for new flooring. He repaired water and termite damage to the sub-floor which was a bigger task than anymore could imagine. "Had already gotten some other estimates from other companies, but upon asking further questions, they disappeared. Solarshield came out when they said, gave an estimate and estimated time to start which was just about when I had wanted to have it done - before hurricane season. Frank the owner was out there too, he and the crew answered all my questions. These guys pay attention to details too. They put tarps all around the house to catch as much of the roof debris as possible. My fascia board was rather discolored, so they even cleaned that while the drip edge was off the roof. Also another detail, when they finished the roof, they got matching paint to paint the new j-vent for the stove vent, the sewer gas vents, and the metal chimney. It took about 5 days (all together) to redo my roof. This was a complete strip down, wind mitigation rehab, with the new standing seam covered screw metal roof with one valley, five hips and two ridge vents. There was only one very small leak at the chimney, when I called, Frank came out to fix it. After that, we had 3 tropical systems come calling (one with 6" of rain!) and not a leak to be seen. Solarshield supplied pictures and documents of the wind mit items (duplicates) for insurance and with my next renewal, my insurance premium went down by at least 30% just due to the new roof! If you are on the fence about getting a metal roof, do it if you can manage the slight extra cost. I believe that in the next few years, benefits from reduced insurance, reduced electric bills, eventual set up of solar on the roof without having to reroof again any time soon afterwards, and peace of mind will pay off greatly. I won't have to worry about the roof during my retirement!"

We finally bought our home in the area of Coral Gables. It’s a property of 2000 sqf more or less that features hardwood floors everywhere. As you can imagine, we wanted to remodel a little bit before moving into the house, so we set up a budget for painting, remodeling the kitchen, and of course fixing the floors that seemed over 100 years old. We contacted Mr. Martinez through Angie’s List because we have used this website before and we have had pleasant experiences with the services offered by the contractors registered here. We were very impressed with Martinez Wood Floors’ website and the pictures of jobs they have done before, so of course they were the ones we wanted to work in our house. We sent them a message and they replied right away asking for more information about the floors and a phone number to arrange a visit. They came on time and previously called to let us know that they were on their way. Properly dress and with vast knowledge they measure the house and explained everything that needed to be done to repair and leave those floors looking like new. We liked the energy and the level of compromise they put in their work. We did not have to look anywhere else, they were the ones we were looking for. The other important factor was the price; we did not want to go cheap but we also did not want to invest a fortune on the floors. Right on the spot, their prices are very good. They sent us the estimate that same day via email, very sophisticated and explaining everything the customer needs to know. We went ahead and booked them. They arrived at the time we had scheduled with all the tools to do the job. They repaired and sanded the floors at an incredible speed. Everything was very professional and they made sure we liked what they were doing. The owner closely supervised the job. When the floors were ready to be stained, they did some samples for us to choose the color we liked. They did an amazing job! When we got back to the house to review everything, we were flipped by the way the floors looked. All perfect like brand new. They are skilled craftsmen and pay attention to details. After we had paid them everything, we decided to change the baseboards in the house and we had no idea where to choose from, so we called Mr. Martinez to ask him for suggestions. The next day, he brought several samples of baseboards and helped us make the choice. They installed all the baseboards in the house and the cuts were perfect. They have a vast experience on hardwood floors and know what the customer wants and expects from them. We are very happy with them."
