"We returned from being away for the Christmas holiday to discover that we had no hot water in our bathrooms.  We called Jimmy and he arranged to come to our house to diagnose the problem and provide us with an estimate.  During his visit, he discovered that the heating element in one of the water heaters was no longer working and that both our water heaters were close to 25 years old.  Jimmy advised us that although replacement of the second water heater was not necessary at the moment, it would be his advice that we consider replacing both due to their age.  He only offered his professional opinion on this with no pressure at all for us to do this.  We agreed and he arranged to return to replace both heaters.  Furthermore, the 80 gallon heater was tucked away in a very difficult to access corner of the eaves in our attic -- a real challenge to get to as he had to lay a plywood floor over the rafters in order to do the work.  He provided us a fair estimate to do the work and was punctual, professional, courteous and an all around pleasure to do business with!  He also cleaned up the work area so that you'd never know that we'd had any work done.  We're new to Charlottesville and never had need for a plumber, but we've found through our experience with him, that we've discovered a plumber which we will quite happily contact again when the need arises.  I would, without any hesitation at all, highly recommend Fluvanna Plumbing and Jimmy!  Thank you, Jimmy!

They installed a hot water heater and a mixing valve that gives me tons of hot water for my soaking tub and much better water pressure in my shower. "I called Jamie in the morning, he returned the call shortly afterwards and was able to come that afternoon, even though this wasn't an emergency. The sprayer nozzle in the kitchen sink was dripping and seemed to cause the regular faucet water flow to pulsate. There also was water in the cabinet under the sink leaking  from the sprayer nozzle hosing. Jamie examined everything carefully, cleaned the nozzle and the faucet. He explained the design of the nozzle leads to dripping and explained how to reduce that.  He felt the problem was somewhat due to recent work on the main water lines, so he examined the main water valve, cleaning out a lot of debris that had been caught in the filter screen. He worked carefully and thoroughly and is very polite and pleasant. He honored a $25 coupon that was on the Angie's List site. His regular fee is $85 per hour, but the coupon brought the cost to us down to $60. We would definitely use Jamie again.
