"Upon arrival he and his employee did an amazing job prepping the home and repairing wear and cracks to a home that has been left for at least 10 years. He provided DunnEdwards evershield premium paint throughout. Not only did he do the exterior of the house...he applied a third coat to the western wall for durability, painted the walls either side of the house facing the street to match( I am on a half acre lot so far more wall than average). He also painted the interior of the walls in the backyard.
I asked for a twist in the application of the colour scheme choosing to paint an interior courtyard wall in a trim accent colour. This and all else was done perfectly and at a very high standard. There was no rush to get in and get out, rather stay until it was perfect and made sure I was totally satisfied.
I cannot recommend him enough for his abilities, knowledge and work ethics. Truly a rare tradesman today  and someone to hold onto for future projects and for your friends.

Rob was also very instrumental in the success of this endeavor, overseeing the project and keeping needed inventory supplied so work could progress smoothly. Rob even put the finishing touches on the roof, giving it some of his thirty plus years of expertise. Every night when the crew left they would clean up the perimeter of the house and and leave it like we were expecting company. I was very impressed by the work of these three professionals. "I did all of the research on how the best roofers rebuild roofs in Phoenix to stand up to the temperature extremes that the valley experiences.  We had a 20 year old tile roof that had a few leaks and also a new patio addition that was being built.  I called eight five-star roofers based upon AL reviews and the information on their websites.  Two never returned a bid with their estimates, and two bid based upon reusing the old metal work and replacing a very small number of broken tiles, which could lead to significant up charges by the time the job was done.  They also were going to re-roof over the old paper, meaning that there would be no inspection of the wood decking.  Of the remaining three, only Express Roofing provided a detailed bid spelling out everything that they would do and had a better warranty than all of the others.  The other roofers excluded items such a sealants from their warranty.  Express was the mid range bid (bids ranged from $15,600 to $25,500) and had no problem working with the contractor's schedule that was framing out the new patio addition.  The quality and attention to detail was worth the price.
When the framing was completed and approved by the building inspector, Express quickly scheduled a crew and went to work. They showed up early every morning and worked all day in 100+ degree heat.  What impressed me was that they payed attention to the smallest of details, like completely covering and uncovering our pool every day, covering the plants and shrubs to keep the dust and debris off of them, and even sweeping for dropped nails with a magnetic sweeper.  They also use some techniques unique to Express to protect your roof like adding an extra rubber membrane in the valleys and using clips rather than nailing through the valley metal.  The six day job included touch up painting and painting all of the new metal work to match the existing paint or the roof tile itself.  All of the wood damaged from leaks (there were about a dozen and most were not even known about...yet) was replaced with new.  They even blow off all of the dust from the tile cutting so that you are left with clean roof for that first rain storm.  And as this process goes on, Rene will email you pictures of the work and what they find.  Simply amazing attention to detail!
My roof tiles and ridge tiles are now all straight and even and the roof looks beautiful.  I highly recommend Express Roofing.

"Gary and his team were extremely easy to work with; they were professional and friendly. We changed our plan (and the estimate) several times without issue (Gary was very flexible). Work began almost immediately, and moved along in a timely fashion; however, we had some special-order materials in our project, and the project took longer than expected because we had to wait for the materials to arrive. They reversed the swing on two of our existing doors, so we didn't have to purchase new doors (or waste the old ones). There is no indication whatsoever that they had done that - the work the carpenter performed was exemplary. We had some complicated wiring involved in the project, as well - the electrician seemed to handle it easily (and everything works as desired). They even encountered an issue with our air handler that was complicated, and they were able to resolve the issue as if it had never occurred. We did encounter some issues after the project was completed, but Gary responded immediately and ensured that the issues were resolved. Finally, we were not charged extra due to any of the surprises that arose during the project. I would recommend GBP Contracting to anyone who is considering remodeling.

"Shannon arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He was very personable, courteous, and thorough and even developed an immediate relationship with our three big dogs. Shannon is a resident of Maricopa as well as a home owner and very active in our community. It s obvious he takes a great deal of pride in his professionalism and thoroughness. He spent over 3 and one half hours evaluating interior and exterior structures as well as mechanical systems, heating system, plumbing system, grounds and yard, etc. Shannon provided his results in a written report (via PDF format) which we could then forward to our builder. We didn t realize how little we actual knew about our house until Shannon s inspection. All things considered and according to our estimates his visit saved us about $3,000 in potential repairs.
