"It worked out really good. They were very good and had to work with our insurance company. They did a lot of the middle work for us between us and the insurance company and helped with that a lot. Their price was fair and the quality was excellent. They were very busy and had a lot of people with storm damage. Their punctuality was excellent and they were very professional. They came when they said they were coming and did the work. I used them the year before because we had the same type of storm that did similar damage to our roof so we used them at that time."

"Our experience was wonderful!  The company is a father and son who work very well together.  They are both very knowledgeable!!!! The son did a beveled tile back splash for us which included a decorative strip.  The decorative strip was a chevron design, which was extremely hard to get right, but I told him he was a real artist, because he was so meticulous.  The result was so beautiful that I wish I could attach a picture!

We decided to keep our old cabinets but we wanted the refrigerator moved to a different wall.  So they had to move cabinets and build one matching cabinet to cover the space between where the fridge had been and where they moved the pantry to in order to fill in the 10" difference.  The shelves were removed from the old pantry and replaced with pull-outs.  They made the pull out shelves from scratch and they are great!  They then had to basically build a fake wooden cabinet around our new refrigerator to make it look like it was recessed.  They also removed the old spindle molding from the top of the cabinets and replaced it with beautiful crown molding.  This made our 25 year old cabinets look brand new!  We also had 2 of the cabinets moved up 5 inches and moved forward about the same amount just to break up the looks of the cabinets and that turned out beautiful as well.

They removed the old Formica tile floor that we had and installed a new vinyl planking floor.  We got a new microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and gas stove and they installed all of those.   They had to remove two old door facings and install new ones because the new flooring was much thinner than the previous floor so the old door facings did not come down to where the new floors were.  They put down new baseboards, quarter round and transition strips for 3 doors.  They replaced 8 new electrical outlets and face plates, which included 3 GFI's, because the old outlets were almond and we needed white.  Several days they were both here for 11 hours. They were punctual.  I really can't think of a negative thing to say about them.  I told them they could use us as a reference any time!!"

"Madison FBC recently worked to improve the Eggleston Elementry building we use for ministry. Brandon and his crew did an amazing job tackling some of the larger projects our volunteers could not. He repaired a major leak and repaired several concrete walls within the building. He worked efficiently but also ensured the work was done right and it looks great. If I ever needed anything done at my house I would contact Madison Construction and Remodel."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse building service projects in Paris-Crossing, IN

Barndominiums cost $50 to $200 per square foot (or $65 to $160 per square foot for finished living areas). You’ll pay even more for a larger barn house. This project costs more than the typical barn construction because you’ll need elements like a kitchen, bathroom, and finished living spaces. Building a barn house is comparable to building an actual home.

A high-quality barn lasts 40 to 60 years when built with robust materials and maintained with dedicated care. Quality construction practices and a strict maintenance schedule ensure that key structural components, such as support posts and roofing, remain effective for more than 60 years. This long lifespan offers homeowners sustained functionality and reliability over time.

The project type determines the construction timeline for a barn. A standard pole barn finishes in six weeks, a traditionally framed or steel-framed barn concludes in four months or more, and a barndominium takes six months or longer due to the extensive design, electrical, plumbing, and finishing details. This schedule ensures each phase is completed efficiently by qualified professionals.

When planning to construct your barn, it's important to review local building codes and zoning regulations. These regulations may include guidelines on building height, property boundaries (setbacks), lot coverage, and easements. Understanding and complying with these requirements helps ensure your barn is built safely and legally and avoids any permitting delays.
