"We have had DDP (Dariusz Pardo and his great crew) do substantial projects for us since 2015 - interior painting and kitchen remodel for my motherâ s condo, exterior painting of our house - so when we decided to do a major refresh and renovation of our house, DDP was our first choice. That was a smart move! After much discussion and thought, we agreed on an expansive project list. * New kitchen: cabinets, quartz countertops, crown molding, ceramic backsplash, porcelain floor, ceiling and under-counter lighting * Replace hardwood floors (rip out hardwood, screw down sub-flooring, install and finish new flooring) * Replace interior doors (19) and door moldings * Replace all baseboard moldings * Build new Pantry and laundry room closets and remodel all other closets * Family Room: Design and install new in ceiling lighting, and install new laminate flooring * Replace all electrical switches and outlets, and install several new outlets in kitchen, bedrooms and family room * Fix creaky stairs * Adjust step height of several stair steps * Paint every room and closet, which required resurfacing of many areas that had deep cracking/peeling of 60 years worth of paint. * Design and install plumbing for a new water softener system, and install system * Install new natural gas Hot Water Heater including leak detector with automatic water shut-off. Along the way, Dariusz made numerous helpful suggestions and incidental improvements, driven by his high standard of design and desire to deliver the best possible results. The projects took about 13 weeks to complete - pretty quick for all the work that was done. The end result is spectacular - we have transformed our tired old house! We are delighted with our new home! Friends and family who have visited are amazed at how beautiful everything is, and how many improvements were made to make cabinets, closets and other spaces much more useful. The kitchen tops the list. We LOVE our new kitchen! It looks beautiful and all our friends and family agree. In fact, a cousin who visited in October told me that she â covetsâ our kitchen - and that is passionate praise coming from a pastor! Bottom line: donâ t hesitate to engage DDP for any project. "Terrific experience with JM Construction. We had major repairs done on our ancient garage, including pouring a new concrete floor. But the bigger job was the complete renovation of our kitchen, from the studs on out. New tiling, flooring including replacing a rotting subfloor, lighting, custom cabinetry with new pantry and attached broom closet, new island, sink, countertops, etc. Beautiful job and an appreciation for their creative problem solving will bring them back for even more work in our home!"

"If I could give zero stars I would. I booked this company for an urgent project and confirmed date/time on a Monday. On Friday, someone shows up saying they are here to work on assembling my shelves. I said we were scheduled for Monday and he got very aggressive and made a phone call. He kept insisting that he was already here and just let him in to do it and I said no because I am getting furniture delivery and then leaving. He got more frustrated and finally left. I felt very uneasy and considered canceling, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. On Sunday evening, I texted the number to confirm that we were still good for Monday and he responded that we were. No one ever showed up or responded to any of my messages. This is the first time using Angie and honestly this was an awful experience. I assumed there would be some kind of background checking or vetting but I cannot imagine there was because something seemed very off. Proceed at your own risk but needed to share"

"We hired Carlos Herrera of Rioza Construction in Feb 2024 for a major renovation and second-story addition under a Fannie Mae 203K loan. The home was move-in ready?just small for our family. Now it?s severely damaged from partial excavation, demo, and unnecessary removal of molding and walls. After a year-long variance process, in October of 2025 we were ready to build, Rioza demanded an extra $40K for ?inflation.? We asked for an accounting of the $84K advanced for materials?none provided. Quotes passed off as receipts were confirmed fraudulent by suppliers. No materials delivered, no phases completed, and we failed foundation inspection. HUD consultant documented everything; bank refused to release additional funds to Rioza Construction. Work has stalled for 6+ weeks, contractor name on Home Improvement license not Carlos Herrera's, belongs to someone we?ve never met. BUYERS BEWARE: Do NOT hire Rioza Construction. Verify licenses, demand receipts, and proceed with extreme caution."
