"Mark the owner came to do the estimate. He supervised & worked through the whole job. This was a substantial parking lot and he completed the work quickly. Three things where performed: Paving of the full lot, another separate section sealed and parking lines painted. It was all done impeccably. I would recommend hiring Mark s paving knowing with full confidence that person would be very satisfied."

"We had a very good experience with Rob and his workers. Rob and his team of workers laid asphalt on our 2200 square foot driveway, added Belgian block on a portion of the border and laid some plants along another border of the driveway. The overall job was well done and we would not hesitate to use Rob again. Regards, Fred, Ridgewood, NJ."

"Working with Aliotta Paving was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. From the first phone call and emails with Kim, to meeting Rocco and his incredible family, the entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. You can immediately tell how much expertise they bring to the job. Their equipment is top-notch, and their efficiency and workmanship are outstanding. They removed and replaced my entire driveway — and did it for $4,000 less than the next nearest quote! Several neighbors in town had their driveways done by Aliotta over 15 years ago, and those driveways are still holding up beautifully — a true testament to the lasting quality of their work. I highly recommend Rocco and his team. Rocco is hands-on throughout the entire project, making sure every detail is perfect. If you’re considering a new driveway, don’t hesitate — go with Aliotta Paving!"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Paterson, NJ

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
