"I was given a window between 1pm and 2pm for an estimate.  The guy showed up almost an hour late.  After determining what was leaking he went to home depot to get the replacement part.  I still had not been given an estimate.   <br /> He gets back and replaces the part maybe 45mins at home depot and 15 mins at my house, then has no idea what to charge me.  Here is where I realize I'm in trouble.  He waits about an hour to talk to his boss and see what the charge would be, so much for getting an estimate before hand.  He finally gets ahold of the guy then tells me its $185.  I asked him if that included the 10% angies list discount listed on angies list and he shrugs and says "uh, I think so", right.   <br /> So basically I feel like a dope for not demanding an estimate before he booked it out to the store, but still that's a little ridiculous.  I won't be using McDonah again. <br /> The work however was fine, he left it in better condition then it was. <br />"

He discussed with me that there was a possibility this may not be the actual cause of the problem and we talked about other options. He encouraged me to call him again if I needed to. By this time I had decided that I didn't want to keep guessing whether changing part after part was worth having Brandon come out time and again so I phoned him and asked him to replace the entire unit.
