"We have used Bloomington Professional Carpet Cleaners for all of the 23 years we have lived in this house. The carpet was 3 years old when we moved in, and has never been changed. It looks almost brand new. That's partly because the previous owner, who built the house, put in high-quality carpeting. But we attribute most of the reason the carpet has lasted so long to Bloomington Professional Carpet Cleaners. We have had them in twice a year, without fail, and whenever we've needed a special cleaning because of a spill, for example. We cannot recommend them more highly: they are, as the name says, professional. They arrive on time, move whatever furniture needs moving, carefully place barriers underneath the feet of large pieces, and do their work efficiently. And the prices have always been fair. We recommend them to all of our friends. <br />"

"I needed carpet and vinyl flooring installed in a short period of time, which Empire Today was able to fulfill. I felt that I paid a premium for service on short notice, which I expected. The salesperson was a bit pushy and asked more than once, "do we have a deal?", which felt smarmy. On the day of installation, all went as planned until the vinyl installation was complete. The quarter round was not replaced. When I asked about it, the installer said that "it looks fine without it," which I disagreed with. He offered to put caulk down, which helped, but still did not look like a complete project. I did not like how he dismissed my request. I sent more than one email to Empire Today about this problem, but they did not follow up with me about this issue."

They came to my house and discussed different carpets and they said that they had remnants that were big enough to do the rooms that I wanted done and that saved me some money. "Jon Taylor did a excellent job.  We had a love seat that had stains on it from water damage from a water leak in the ceiling and a recliner that looked pretty bad.  They both now look like new.  Our carpet was in really bad shape and it now looks outstanding !  The kitchen carpet was beyond hope and now looks like new.  I couldn't believe it.  I wish I had called him a long time ago.  He also cleaned our ducts and as good a job with our carpet and furniture, I'm sure we'll see a lot less dust in the house.  He was very professional and did all of this in about 4 hours.  I have had other company's clean our carpet in the past, but Jon Taylor did, by far, a much better job.  I highly recommend him and will use him the next time we need cleaning done. <br />"

"It was great at first! But you don't understand how good work is until it's been done for about a year. There are a couple things that I really drive me nuts about the work performed: <br /> - the drywall isn't even so the baseboards and crown modeling has gaps that we have to keep caulking <br /> - there are strings that are coming off the carpet <br /> - you can see a gap in the padding under the carpet <br /> - the cords in the back of the TV are coming from a drilled hole, they didn't put a plate over it (didn't notice this until long after work was done) <br /> - the light switch plates aren't flat on the wall <br /> - the door knob of the door they installed is already coming off (cheap!) <br /> - there are waves in the ceiling where the drywall didn't match up straight <br /> A couple of these things we had them come back out and look at but after it's complete, there is little that can be done. Because there is a flood, insurance paid for portion but we chose to upgrade a lot since our basement was old in the first place. Since we weren't a high paying job, clearly we were back burner. I wish I would have paid more attention at the time the work was done but I didn't. Lesson learned and we would use someone that pays better attention to the details. <br />"

"They did everything they said they would and went above and beyond. They offer a year warranty on their work, show up on time, and even will come back to fix things. Josh is due to come out to fix some things the HVAC people did in a couple of days. They have a store, and they sell flooring, but I did not know that at the time I ordered carpet from Menards. They had no problem installing what I had purchased from elsewhere. I cannot recommend these guys enough! Seriously, if you need flooring installed, give them a call. I am having them come back to quote tile and hardwood flooring as well."
