"AAARB deserves 5 stars for Ron's friendly phone skills, Mark's quick and accurate estimate, the painters' and the carpenter's fine craftsmanship, problem solving and everyone's excellent customer service. They all made my 60 year old ranch with dated wallpaper, drab paint and original trim (last painted 20+ years ago) now sparkle and shine with Sherwin Williams Extra White (SW 7006) paint. Parts of my basement had never even been painted before. Jimmy did an excellent job caulking in the bathroom. All the painters are great. I will hire them all in a heartbeat for exterior work as soon as weather permits. I appreciate their suggestions, their skill, and the quick pace. Everything went exactly as explained and as planned. "She was fine. We were working long distance and communication took place via phone and email. I would not ever hire someone long distance again for design work unless I see something on their website that is exactly what I like. She was very responsive though and she provided us with pictures of sample furniture and physical designs. I gave her a 'B' because she didn’t take a lot of time to customize the plan to our style. I expected her to adapt to our style, but instead she tried to make our living room fit her style. She seems to have a look that is her style and we actually asked her re-do the plan a few times before we got something usable. In the end, she is very good at what she does and she is very professional, but her design style doesn’t fit our way of living."

"Overall it was OK.  The initial inspection went well.  They didn't arrive on the agreed start date.  I called asking where they were.  Never got a response, the work crew just showed up the next morning.  The crew was efficient & did good work.  I was told they would color match our existing cement work which is cream color, however the repair work is all grey.  At first, I hope would lighten up after it dried, but it has been a month and it is still a noticeable difference.  The masonry group that repaired our chimney did a much better job color matching.  A little disappointing for an A-listed supplier promoted via Angie's List Deals.

"We purchased the unlimited consultation package. Amanda is very friendly and professional. We struggled because we were looking for someone to consult with out of the box ideas. Once she understood our vision she could move forward, but innovation was not her strength. We paid an additional amount for drawings. These were detailed, and while not all changes were made as requested, we were able to get some value from them. In hindsight, I would not pay $99 for drawings. Any cabinet retailer will do these for you for free, which I did not know until afterwards. The company wants you to spend time telling them about your style, which ours is Country French. The first cabinet rendition we received was black expresso. We did a complete kitchen tear out so this may work fine for smaller jobs or if you have done this before. It just didn't work for us with distance and what we needed. I was able to find someone locally that sold the cabinets we wanted and she was a wealth of information and things moved much faster. Good luck to HMD. It's a good idea and the person we dealt with we liked personally."

"I hired F7 to fix my about-to-fall-down cedar fence. I didn’t want to replace it; I liked the weathered look and the only thing rotten was the 20+ year old posts. The same team that estimated my project performed the work, which I liked a lot. They did a great job with minimal damage to my yard (if any). They were creative in maximizing reuse of the original boards, and only replaced what was necessary with new materials. They were friendly and offered great communication. I would hire them again."
