Small jobs welcome

"The individual that did the consult was very knowledgeable and helpful. The work took 8 days. I would highly recommend just buying new cabinets. The mess after the sanding and install was more than I expected. Some of the cabinets were left with debris and a considerable amount of dust in them, the shelves were not sanded on the ends where they were cut, leaving splinters and the sawdust was in the stove, dishwasher, cabinets that were covered and in the adjoining room. The craftsmanship turned out nice but noticeable that the edges were resurfaced. Itâ s hard to resurface cabinets that are old. The new doors cover the refacing. I feel the pricing is way to high for this type of project."

For many years. Not a one-trick pony, but a tenured, hands-on building mechanic, constructor and general contractor. ~~~ "I build things and I fix stuff. No excuses." - GC. ~~~ Working with others. Addition, kitchen basement, yard.... We do small works. We do hard works.  We do the sometimes dirty work of rescuing buildings in places where others would toss in a match. I like that. "Awesome! I worked with Ed at Main Line Kitchens to design our kitchen during a very stressful whole house renovation / expansion. To say he worked with me is an understatement. Ed might just have earned his counselor credentials as he guided me through some uncertainties, even calling me late one night from home after receiving a distressed email about a decision I was making. He ultimately helped steer me towards a cabinet line that fit my desired look, features, timeline, and budget and helped me see the pros and cons of the choices made along the way. He never pressured me and was able to accommodate a seemingly impossible timeline. He even came out to measure twice without complaint when my contractors weren't ready the first time -- not at all his fault -- but he was gracious and kind and took it in stride. Ed was personable and easy to work with and I never felt like a number in his book. When we received our cabinets I wasn't happy with a couple doors (normal issues you would anticipate with a large order and a perfectionist on the receiving end) Ed worked with the vendor and had them replaced and shipped immediately to me and the job wasn't delayed. The vendor even called direct to ensure I was happy with the replacements. It is clear MLK has a strong reputation with their suppliers. Ed was quick with recommendations for other vendors when I needed materials fast for flooring, countertops, etc. and all the other vendors knew and respected Main Line and Ed. Our new kitchen is truly the center of our home and we have Ed to thank for bringing it all together. I would recommend Ed and MLK to anyone in need of kitchen design services and cabinetry. In fact, I already have. I did my due diligence and shopped around and was very happy with the competitive pricing that came along with the white glove service and hand holding I received through this process. The expertise from the team at Main Line can't be matched. If you have a chance to work with Ed, know you will be working with a great person who genuinely loves what he does, and in the end, that passion will show through in your kitchen design."

"We met with Dave Pellegrini to discuss our kitchen remodeling options. He described the different cabinet services Kitchen Tune-Up provides, from a basic restorative "tune-up" to refacing to installation of new cabinets. We settled on the refacing option with us removing all the doors and drawer faces and painting the cabinets to match the new doors. By doing the painting ourselves, we were able to cut the cost significantly and spend a bit more on some other work we planned for the kitchen. Mr. Pellegrini worked with us and two other contractors (for wallpaper removal and counter top/back-splash installation) to coordinate all of the work we had planned so that it could be completed within three weeks. It was obvious from the beginning that this was a family business that took pride in providing outstanding service. Before finalizing the contract, Dave's wife came to the house and did extensive measuring while Dave showed us an awesome array of knobs and handles for the new doors and drawer faces. Mrs. Pellegrini also had a great suggestion for adding faux doors to the back and end of the demi-island cabinets. Two weeks before the cabinets were scheduled to arrive, Dave dropped of all the supplies we needed to paint the old cabinets to match the new materials. Since it had been very many years since we had painted (foam brushes--who knew?), we got a quick primer on the job ahead from Dave. We then waited until the counter tops and back-splash work was finished, then we double-primed followed by two-three coats of white paint (to get dark oak to look snow white) over three days, just in time for the installation. The installation itself was fabulous. Son Mike was head of a crew of two other installers (I'm not sure whether or how the other young men were related to the family, but they were a great team) who worked steadily over the course of much of the day to complete the work. When the work was done, Mike pointed out that one of the doors had a slight imperfection, so he was ordering a new one, and one of the "faux" doors was the wrong size, so he was ordering a replacement for that as well. He explained the reordering process in detail, so that I would be clear about all the steps (ordering, manufacturing, shipping, etc.) and why it would take about three weeks before the replacements would be available for installation. I felt like Mike did a great job of looking out for me--the customer--by pointing out the problems, coming up with solutions, and managing my expectations, all in the course of two minutes! Unless there is a remarkable problem with the two replacement doors--which I would report--I can say that we have been very pleased with the quality of the service and products that we purchased from Kitchen Tune-Up, and I would be happy to recommend them."

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

FAQs for cabinets installation projects in Perkiomenville, PA

Adding soft-close functionality to existing drawers costs between $15 and $23 per drawer for DIY hardware components. If you're hiring a professional, expect to pay between $40 and $100 per drawer for parts and labor combined. The investment brings noticeable improvements in drawer operation, reducing noise and preventing damage from slamming. Many homeowners find the upgrade worthwhile for frequently used kitchen and bathroom drawers.

Replacing just the drawer slides is more economical than installing entirely new drawers. DIY slide replacement costs between $5 and $230 for materials, depending on quality and features. Complete drawer replacement ranges from $40 to $100 per drawer when professionally installed. If your drawer boxes remain in good condition, upgrading just the sliding mechanism offers excellent value while extending the life of your existing cabinetry.

The timeline for professional sliding drawer installation varies with project scope. Simple installations might require one to two hours for a couple of drawers, while a complete kitchen upgrade could take a full day or longer.

Factors affecting installation time include cabinet accessibility, whether modifications are needed to accommodate new hardware, and the total number of drawers being installed. Having measurements and materials ready beforehand can significantly streamline the process.

Regional factors do influence sliding drawer installation costs. Areas with higher costs of living often see installation prices at the upper end of the $40 to $100 per drawer range. Variables like local competition among installers, material availability, and travel distances for service providers all contribute to regional price differences. Getting multiple quotes from local professionals gives you the most accurate picture of pricing in your specific area.

Kitchen improvements like sliding drawer installations often recover 70 to 80 percent of their costs in home value. While not as dramatic as complete kitchen renovations, upgraded storage solutions enhance functionality and appeal to potential buyers. Real estate professionals often highlight kitchen organization features in listings, as they represent practical, everyday benefits that resonate with home shoppers looking for move-in-ready properties.
