"Within a day or two of our inquiry, owner/manager Kyle Hodges was here to evaluate our problem and give an estimate for the work he discussed with us. Although we live in a townhouse, the record-breaking Maryland rainfall and the slant of the front lawn toward our foundation had caused serious water build up at our foundation and threat to overflow into the basement.. For several weeks we had been bailing rainwater round the clock from the trench that had formed at the front of our home and using dozens of paper towel rolls to absorb water. Kyle saw the seriousness of the problem, brought his co-worker Matt who would do the work to help plan their project and scheduled a date. Matt was excellent and very thorough. So far the work they did has solved the problem successfully, and we look forward to their return in the spring for more corrective landscaping. "Very professional installation. Their foreman, Brian, was great! Our project had a unique paver pattern my wife designed and he was able to lay out the patio just as she had in mind. We had quite a few adjustments and re-designs and they handled these with wonderfully.catered to every need. would highly recommend them and use them on future projects. (:"

"Wonderful experience!! This is the second time we have used Maryland Decking and Kyle Funk as our salesperson; they came in on budget for our project and in the time frame that we needed. Kyle is great, but we had a couple questions regarding the placement during installation, so he showed up day of installation with shovel in hand. They want things to be as right as we did, which is refreshing. GREAT customer service! The project consisted of extended a patio that we had done by them a few years ago, you would never know that it wasn’t original, blends perfectly and the crew couldn’t have been better, they worked hard and when we asked a question they stopped to listen and then gave us the answer without being annoyed. Left the site neat and clean too. Hard to find good workers, with good customer service while staying in budget and on time with a great salesperson on top of it! "My job entailed removing a large section of concrete driveway in front of my garage and replacing it. The job was started on approximately the schedule upon which we agreed. However, once the old driveway had been removed, two weeks passed before the new one was poured, with the accompanying mess. Concrete was splashed on masonry (with no attempt to remove it) and the final work was not finished until 4 months later. In the meanwhile, a 30 foot crack developed in the new section of driveway. I am not sure the agreed-upon expansion joints were installed and I fear that the new section will be in the same condition the old one was in a few years. These factors could be overlooked if it were a cheap job, but this company charged top prices (perhaps even higher than normal) and I expected a first-class job."

"SBC did great hardscape work for our neighbors, so we called them when it was time for us to have some work done. They responded quickly and provided a quote to replace a failing retaining wall and gave us options to rehab 2 patio areas full of rotting boards. As part of the work on the retaining wall, it became evident that our porch was a safety hazard and needed to be replaced. SBC immediately shored up the porch, and Steve worked with us to re-do the designs and reallocate materials to rebuild our porch, rehab the patios and keep the costs reasonable, including going the extra mile to get certified so that we could maintain the warrant on our roof. We now have a wonderful, maintenance-free outdoor space. We have a number of other outside projects, and SBC will be our first call."

"I am so very happy with my new patio and I couldn’t have picked a better company for this job. I have been over the top careful about who to select for this big of a job and Jeffrey (DJA Landscape) was super patient (7 years!!!) and has never put me under any pressure even when I bid out with competitors. After hearing everything about his company, seeing his work, comparing it to others and never feeling pressure, I completely trusted him and his company to do a great job and they did. Everyone, his crew and Jeff himself, work so hard. They are always working (besides the well-deserved lunch break), they are some of the hardest working people I have seen and I was at home every day and my dad watched from afar with his German-patio building standards and he also complimented them from the distance. The crew is extremely skilled and they don’t cut any corners. They all work like a well-oil machine — everything is carefully scheduled and planned. There is no downtime because materials are missing… or such.. everything is always ready. Jeff is great at communicating throughout the process with me and his crew and he checks in and comes by every day. It’s also very easy to communicate with his team who listen and address/change if you have any concerns at all. Jeff will be honest with you, he might not be the cheapest on the market, but after doing all of my research, he is very competitive with other companies and in his case… costs matches value. I highly recommended DJA Landscaping. I am super proud to attach some before and after pictures. I never had a patio before and now I can enjoy the outdoors."
