"(1) I phoned for an appointment Nov 13, 2017. (2) Technicians came on 11-16-17. (3) I had chimney cap installed AND I THOUGHT a chimney video inspection. NEVER saw the video. (4). On 12-6-17, the Chimney Cap was BLOWN OFF OF CHIMNEY and LYING BENT in the yard. (5) On 12-6-17 I phoned Det. Chimney to advise them of my concern and request a repair appointment. (I spoke with Brittany.) Technician also said chimney and fireplace was clear. IT WAS NOT. THERE WERE TWO Squirrels inside (died) as a result of their inadequacies. (They had advised me when I made the appointment that they would check for squirrel/bird and they could remove if necessary) What follows here is a travesty!!! I was given an appointment for 12-7-17 BUT NO ONE CAME and NO ONE CALLED. I phoned and they seemed surprised that no one showed for repair. I was given an appointment for the 7th and then again the 8th with the same outcome....NO SHOW & NO CALL. I phoned them on seventh and asked what happened? They said "Oh it was windy, we will be out tomorrow (8th)" NO SHOW. To wrap this up, because I am very frustrated in just typing this review and reliving this debacle, I eventually spoke with a Ms. Moore and she assured me someone would be out. NO SHOW.. I DEMANDED a refund at this point. REFUND finally came on 12-27-17. I ALSO HAD TO HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY TO REMOVE THE 2 dead squirrels and disinfect the area and deal with all of the problems that Det. Chimney's lack of professionalism failed to detect. I WAS ORIGINALLY ADVISED THAT THEY COULD ADMINISTER THESE SERVICES!!! I only received $150 back and I should've demanded the video inspection because you could clearly see the squirrels. I did find that Detroit City Sweep, LLC does not provide the same services to the city residents as it does to its suburbon customers."

"I reached out on Wednesday to book standard cleaning service for Friday, April 25 at 9am. I spoke with someone on Thursday morning to confirm. I was told that I would get an email confirmation with the booking info and paperwork. Not long after booking, I contacted them back to change the time to 2pm on Friday, April 25 and let them know that I had not received the email confirmation from the first time I called. I spoke with Mark. He confirmed my email again and said it would be on the way. He also confirmed that my appointment had been changed to 2pm. I called back twice regarding not receiving the email and confirmed my appointment time since I had not received anything. On Friday, April 25 in the morning, I still had not received anything and called again. I spoke with Nicole. The AI system and Nicole stated that my appointment was listed as 1pm. After a high level of frustration at this point I explained to her the entire situation and confirmed 2pm once again. My email address was still incorrect and she stated that she would change it and confirm my appointment for 2pm that day. I finally received the paperwork around 11am and signed it. At 2:15pm on Friday, April 25 I called back as I had not heard from anyone or seen anyone at my home for the service. I was told by Nicole that the person assigned was not available at 2pm. My question, why didn't anyone call me earlier to tell me so. Why was it 2:15pm and no one had called me to tell me that my work would not be done? Why was I booked on Thursday for 2pm if no one was available? The level of service at this company is deplorable!! They rely on AI and even the representatives in the office can't get a simple scheduling task completed. I wasted an entire day as I could have booked someone else that was actually available. A manager called me back (I don't remember his name) and asked if someone could come at 4pm or the next day. He said he would SEE if someone could come at that time, which means he was not sure if he would have anyone. After all of this I don't have any trust in the company that they would do the job that I needed them to do. I canceled immediately!!!!"

"Two nice young men came out and did a superb job. They covered and protected everything. The entire fireplace looked brand new when they finished. They charge more than the folks who usually do it but the job was perfect and most people just send one guy. My fireplace is double sided and larger than most so it probably made it easier and faster to get the job done. Good professional young men Kyle & Jake."

"We had an appointment scheduled for an estimate for home remodeling which required me leaving work early for. Contractor was a no show. After waiting 35 minutes after our scheduled meeting, I called their phone. After 2 rings I was disconnected. I can only assume he hung up on my call. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend!"
