"Slow process due to excessive rain and shortage of concrete throughout city and surrounding areas. All subcontractors did very good work. Worst part of the whole process was lack of communication. - We'd sit for days not knowing if or when someone was going to show up or receive a phone call on the status of something. In the end, we voiced our concerns to the owner and overall, we love our pool and patio.

"I have used Mike McMillion Pool Company multiple times. The first time my filter pump motor stopped working and my usual pool company (which I won't name) couldn't/wouldn't come for a week and a half. It was the same story with other pool companies that I contacted. It was very hot in the middle of summer and my pool would degenerate into a slimy green mess in just a few days if I didn't get things fixed immediately. After I called several places I called Mike McMillion and he adjusted some appointments to come the next day, explaining that he understood my predicament and knew that I need help immediately. He came over and had the pump running the next day. Rather than replacing the entire motor, he explained that he simply needed to change the motor's capacitor and it was a cheap fix. I had been ready to pay for a whole new motor but got a minor bill for his work. The next time I used MicMillion Pool company was just last week. I have a large cleaner pump that was operating poorly. Mike repaired the very large and expensive pump rather than forcing me to buy a new one. He left the old parts with me and I saw how the old one had failed. It is rare to find a seasoned and honest repair person who can and will charge fairly, be responsive to calls and try his best to serve his customer. Mike McMillion does that. I recommend him highly. My experience with McMillion Pool Company has been exceptional."

"I considered both fiberglass and gunnite pools.  I could not get the pool size I wanted with an automatic cover in the fiberglass so decided to go with gunnite.  After interviewing 3 companies, I went with Castlerock based on both price and the company representative, Bill Belser.  Bill was helpful, not only during the installation process but also afterwards.  This was my first pool experience and Bill was very responsive to my questions and most often, came out to walk me through various processes in pool maintenance.   I am enjoying the pool immensely and have had no problems with it. I would recommend Castlerock without reservations.

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Peytonsville, TN

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
