I’m a hardworking person who doesn’t like to leave projects half finished or looking sloppy, I can be a bit of a perfectionist. I’ve always fixed and built almost everything I needed myself and I take pride in being self sufficient. I’ve been an electrician for a year and half now and before that I was fabricating aerators for private residences. I have a wife and two children, so I can handle the chaos of a whole house remodel even if you decide to alter any details halfway through.

"The technician was on time and professional. He climbed up on the roof and examined it. He reported that there was no damages, but a couple of shingles needed repair. He repaired the loose shingles for no charge This service gave me great confidence in the firm. I would use them in the future."

"It was a rainy Monday, but the company arrived at our home at 8am and waited out the weather. They walked around the house with my husband and me to note any landscaping that was particularly fragile. (roses, hostas, mums and lilies). The supplies had already been delivered so the crew got to work. I didn't know what to expect with noise and mess and although there was plenty of both, the crew was very professional and efficient in their efforts. It took about 10 hours from start to finish and with only one rotten board to be replaced. This was the first roof replacement I have experienced and this company did it right! The owner was on sight numerous times to ensure everything was going well. He answered my countless questions and explained what would happen from beginning to end. I was quite concerned that the crew would never be able to pick up the zillions of roofing pieces, nails, shingles, etc. However, there was not a scrap of material or nail in sight after they were finished. They even cleaned out the gutters and the garage! I would highly recommend Seamless Restoration for a new roof or repair. They are professional, courteous, efficient and neat. Extra stars to the employees for stopping to meet our dog who had to inspect everything, snoop in their lunchboxes and insist on being petted.
"

"Jimmy had several crews who did most of this project. If Jimmy supervised it, then it was more likely to be done well. However, many of these projects were completed by his subcontractors. He did not do a good job of supervising them. Specifically, we have paid $1000 to hire another contractor to repair the siding which was not installed correctly. Jimmy did send the siding contractor out to repair the defective work initially but even that repair was not done correctly. The concrete drive was not installed correctly and we have had a few problems with the concrete reinforcement migrating above the concrete surface which was a problem for tires and bare feet. The plumbing contractor installed the pex plumbing with automotive clamps instead of the required plumbing clamps.
My daughter and son-in-law hired him to repair their leaky basement. The basement still leaks.
Personally, Jimmy is a great guy. I think if he actually did all the work, then good outcomes could be expected. But his crews are very poor representatives of his business. Unfortunately the project suffers because of these sub contractors.
"

"We were extremely satisfied with the work of Mr. Deskins. We would call him again if we need house repairs. We do like using local companies to support the local economy and would be sure to clarify this in the future. The roof work team came from Kentucky. ( A person who came with Mr. Deskins on a second visit (name Mark or Bob?) stated that the team would come from south side Indianapolis.) I suspect that the load of work due to hail storms caused a crunch on the availability of work teams.

The roofing work team did use a machine that seemed to be a magnet yet we found nails in and around the driveway during the next two weeks. It could be that the nails came from the roof and gutters with rainfall.

The gutter company did a very satisfactory job in replacement. We would have appreciated a quicker turnaround and improved communication by this company. They arrived one day to do work and had a problem with electrical equipment on their truck. They returned week later. We had to initiate calls to reschedule.

Again, we were very pleased with Universal and Mr. Mike Deskins. The Universal office was prompt in communications as well as Mr. Deskins. We would use Universal again.
"

"My overall experience was great with Pro Finish was great. I was looking for a good contractor around town that I could trust to do a proper window installation. To me installation is everything when it comes to windows. I found Pro Finish's website and loved the quality of work they did with sunroom installations. Sent them a message through their website. The owner got back to me a short time later. Setup an appointment to get an estimate on windows. I also needed to have an old powered roof vent removed and replaced with some quality roof turbine vents.
Everything sounded good and the price was right. His window guy came out shortly after and measured for the windows. Very soon after had his roofing crew out to install the vents and remove the old powered vent.
Windows came in a little less than 4 weeks later and had a great installer come out and do the work. My house has 6 windows and he had the job done in a day by himself. Did a great job.
It's been almost a year now and couldn't be happier with the windows. One window was making a whistling sound during high wind. Took some time, but I found an open screw hole in the frame. Temporarily slapped a piece of tape over the hole and the whistle stopped. I'll go back and spray some foam in later. Not a major problem, and I'm sure Pro Finished would have resolved it quickly if I called.
Will definitely use them again in the future.

"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Owensboro, KY

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
