"Chad (owner and craftsman of Architectural Rain Gutters) was contacted 8/15 and he assessed the job the same day. Chad created a favorable impression immediately; he was on time, knowledgeable, added constructive suggestions as needed and was completely professional in all regards. I had been quoted by other companies to install scuppers, a gutter, and a drain spout, and each could not commence work for 10-12 weeks; Chad was able to start and complete the job in 12 days. Furthermore, Chad’s price quote was extremely reasonable compared to all the other quotes I had received. The scope of work on my home was relatively small, but I had numerous questions while waiting for the installation and Chad patiently addressed each question even though I was probably interrupting him on one of his other installations. On the installation day Chad arrived on time and did a very thorough professional job (start to final clean-up). In summary, I am generally guarded in my dealings with service companies for many are prima donnas that overcharge and under perform; thus, when I encounter a craftsman, who is customer oriented, fair, and reputable I want to let others know so that this individual prospers! I highly recommend Chad as a professional craftsman, businessman, and a true gentleman!"

"We have a 57 foot long patio roof. Zach, Grizzly Gutters built a seamless aluminum gutter and installed behind the drip edge, so the rainwater would flow directly into the gutter instead of behind it. This is a good technique that prevents mold growth and foundation damage. Grizzly Gutters gave us a very good price, including a discount for replacing the rotting fascia board. We saw Zach has excellent skills to quickly build and install in various sizes of good quality gutters. I would recommend Grizzly Gutters to anybody who needs to install gutters."

"Mike D'Olivo (owner) & Braeden were on time & took a little over 2.5 hours to install 3 separate 6" gutters (approx 90'); and 3 separate downspouts (approx 50') on our large concrete "S" style tiled roof. I especially liked how they installed under the metal drip edges and insured a level 45' long gutter on the east fascia board using wedges. Great work, excellent materials, and spot on color match. I highly recommend MSD Contracting, LLC!"

FAQs for copper gutters service projects in Phoenix, AZ

Copper gutters cost more upfront, but their 50- to 100-year lifespan and resistance to corrosion make them a practical long-term choice. They also develop a signature green patina that many homeowners like. If you plan to stay in your home for decades and prefer a low-maintenance system that handles harsh weather, the higher initial price can pay off over time.

With routine inspections and cleaning, copper gutters last 50 to 100 years. Over time, they change from bright copper to a muted brown and, eventually, a green patina that protects the metal from corrosion. Because the material resists rust and damage, you won’t need to replace the system as often as vinyl or aluminum, which last 20 to 30 years.

Exposure to air and moisture slowly oxidizes copper, transforming it from a shiny penny color to brown, then charcoal, and finally to the familiar green patina. In many climates, the full change takes approximately 20 years, although hot, humid, or coastal areas may experience color shifts sooner. The patina actually protects the metal, so you don’t need to polish or seal it unless you prefer to keep the bright copper look.

Gutters don’t have to match the roof or siding exactly, but they should complement the colors already on your home. Copper makes that easy—its color warms over time and pairs well with brick, stone, and most paint palettes. If you’re unsure which finish works best, ask a local designer or gutter professional to show you samples against your trim before ordering the materials.

The best material to use depends on your specific needs. Vinyl is the most affordable option and works well in mild climates, but it can crack in extremely cold conditions. Aluminum is an affordable and lightweight material that lasts approximately 25 years with routine maintenance. Steel handles heavy snow but will eventually rust. Copper costs the most, yet it can last a century with very little maintenance. Weigh life span, weather, and budget before making a choice.
