There were various layers of different paint, peeling paint, and curling paint above the tile in the shower. He dealt with and improve the look of the overpainted metal on the grate to the vent and the metal heating unit. He adjusted the enclosure of the pocket door to the linen closet so that it wouldn’t scrape the paint on the door as the door was moved back and forth. He fixed the paint on the bathroom door that was peeling up from the bottom. After each day, Kaio left the area spotless. He was accommodating of my schedule and also of the way I needed to use my bathroom daily. He was clear about each step he would be doing and took time to address many small but important details. "After contacting them, Gerry came out to look at everything and provide an estimate.  We had cedar shakes with old, peeling, (probably lead) paint, and he was able to answer all our newbie questions about what paint he preferred, how long it lasts, how the heck are we going to pick colors, and so on.  His estimate was in line with others we had received, on the lower end.  We liked that he was able to handle a variety of contracting work beyond painting, so if anything came up it would be easy to deal with.
When it came time to do the work, Gerry, his son, and team were very speedy.  The whole house took about four days, much of it on the porch because that's where all the old mulitpane windows are.  They did a great job capturing and disposing all the old scraped paint.  After we started to see things come together we had a few minor changes in where we wanted to swap trim colors, and they were able to accommodate and work with us.  On the outside of the porch there were some areas with irregularly chipped paint that looked kind of weird, which they heat-gunned off before painting and now look great.  The only snag is that having protective canvas down on some plants for a week damaged a few of them (not that they were particularly nice in the first place).  Next time I would have a conversation beforehand about what parts of the yard are ok to cover up for more than a day or so.
Everything looks great and we've gotten many compliments from neighbors - we're very happy with the new look!

"Installed double therma tru fiberglass front doors. Arrived when they said, had the old doors out quick and went to work on the new doors. Hit a snag when the new doors were slightly wider than the opening, but the knew exactly what to do. Doors and new trim look amazing. I need to paint everything, but will post a picture unpainted for now. The best part is that I purchased the 8 hr special for $299. They sent two guys for 4 hours and they finished everything within the timeframe (we even had a lowes trip in there to get a few extra items). I had quotes to do the install anywhere from $1600-$3000 from other places. So thrilled I found these guys on Angie's list! Will definitely use again!"
