"Very professional and thorough. Did a great job prepping for mulch by weeding, edging (cutting in edges to keep mulch in). Did a clean, neat job of mulch install and a very good job cleaning up afterwards. They were competitive in their estimate and, having done this ourselves in the past, worth every penny to have it done, and done so well. Highly recommend. <br />"

"Overall it was pretty good, at times I felt like the job supervisor. Poor rock removal and seeding once job was done, I had to call them back out to complete the job. Good thing was that they honor their work and came back to fix any issues. System runs fine."

"Lawn looks a little better but with the incessant phone calls and people banging on my door looking to sell me additional services it was not worth it. Called today to cancel service and could not get past the "hold" on the phone. Waited apprx. 30min. They will pick up the "want new service" number right away but those folks won't do anything but sell you a new program."

"We signed the contract in spring; they were to start in late July. August came & went; I called and Jeremy said they would be out in Sept. Sept. came & went. I called again, in Oct. and the secretary said we were not even listed on the Work Calendar. They finally came out in mid-Oct. to begin working. The paver work was acceptable, but when the began working on the pond, Jeremy wanted it completely emptied; the koi, goldfish and other fishes were caught and put in tubs. We had about 80 fish when they began. By the time the work was done in late November, we had no more koi or fancy goldfish, and the total number was less than 30. By spring, we had no more large fish, just fingerlings. Also, re. the pond and stream, because we have sporting breed dogs who are older, I told them I did not want small rocks and pebbles around the edges of the pond, and along the stream. Again, they did not listen. They put loads of pebbles and small rocks in, so much so that the dogs have often slipped when entering/exiting the water. The pond is much smaller now than it was when it was installed 10 years ago. Re: landscaping, I had specifically asked for a Sweet Bay Magnolia to be put in; instead, I got a pink dogwood, almost directly behind the large serviceberry which is in the center of the front yard; they also put in 3 Sweetgum trees, which are supposed to turn a beautiful red in the autumn. Thusfar (2 autumns have passed), they haven't shown that color. They failed to start work at the approximate time they had said they would; too much time was spent on the pond and brook, with less than desirable results. The cost was more than had been estimated, work that was to be done (releveling the upper garden walkway) was not done; and no one ever checked back to see if things were satisfactory, nor did we receive a discount because of their tardiness, or the option of postponing the work until spring. Finishing up on the day before Thanksgiving caused several of the root-bound plants (which they installed) to die, and most of our fish and all of the water lilies to not survive the very late change of water ."

"I called his number and he called me back. He uses a cell phone for his business. I ask him for a quote to do mulch and over seeding before winter came. He said he would send me a quote and would like me to call or email that I accepted the quote and he would schedule the work. He sent me the quote of $75 for the mulching and seeding. The cost of the seed would be the cost when he bought it. I sent him an email and told him I accepted the quote and told him to schedule it at his convenience. <br /> He emailed me back and said they would be her on Sept 25th. We were away and when we came home on Sept 25th, they were here and working on the lawn. I went out and introduced myself and we chatted for a minute and they did the work and left. <br /> I received a bill with a due date about 20 days away. I paid the bill by sending him a check. <br /> We received a Christmas Card from their office. <br /> I would use them again. I would ask them to mow my lawn if I was hurt and couldn't do it myself. If my yard needs mulched again this year, I will use them. <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Piqua, OH

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
