"I contracted Select Landscaping to sod my backyard as well as do some stone work (stone edging around flower bed and tree ring). Everything was transparent and went well. The owner, Derek, is friendly and courteous. The day of the work went well. His crew did a great job on the sod install. The flower bed and tree ring looked great. However, I had noticed that the tree ring and flower bed edging were missing those drainage holes that should be drilled into them and lined with PVC piping to allow proper drainage. When I mentioned it to Derek he was apologetic and said he would fix it. We were also discussing how the sprinkler system should be modified to change the spread of the sprinkler heads to better cover the yard. He mentioned that they also do sprinkler servicing. I agreed to the price he said would do that job for and we agreed he could come out to handle the sprinkler and then fix the drainage on stone edging at the same time sometime in the future since this was getting to be very late in the day. I will explained that I was going to be out of town for a week or so and we could schedule it for when I got back. After I returned from the trip I reached out and we scheduled a time to do the sprinklers. However storms ended up coming in and preventing it from happening. We then communicated several more times and he would give vague timeframes like “late next week” as a possibility. However every time it got closer to “late next week” something would usually come up like bad weather and he would ask to delay it again. Now the last 2-3 times I’ve contacted him he would give a more specific date and then not contact me again as the date got closer. One of those times he mentioned having a family issue arise and he was unable to do it as a result (to which I was sympathetic and fine with). However, we scheduled again since then and he once again did not show up. And when followed up via text he doesn’t respond. I have 6 texts over 4 days and none have been answered. 2 were direct responses to a question he asked, then one was to confirm that he was coming later that day. Then another asking if the day after since he never showed. Then another 2 just asking what happened and when we can reschedule. One thing to note is that I get “read” receipts on my messages and it shows that they have been read. At any rate. The initial install was great, albeit missing drainage on the flower bed and tree ring. But the follow up has been pretty bad."

"Torres Landscape did an amazing job! They showed up and got to work right on time. We had 2000 square ft. of sod installed and they started at 8:00 and were completely finished by 2:00. They did exactly what they said they would do. It's almost been a month and my yard looks great. They were very fair on price (not the cheapest but not the most expensive). "I was in panic mode! Just spent $$$$ to have new St. Augustine sod planted in the many bare areas in my lawn. The landscaper advised me to water the lawn three times per week. When the sprinklers ran the first time, one zone stopped early, another zone did not run at all and yet another zone would not stop running until the controller was unplugged. In addition, several sprinklers were not operating properly, and some sprinklers had been improperly covered by new sod pieces. After some quick research on Angi, I called Moore Sprinkler Company. They made a special effort to get to my yard that same day, and their team of two technicians spent 1.25 hours locating all of the problems and correcting them with adjustments and new parts. The entire sprinkler system is now working great! I will certainly call Moore again for sprinkler system maintenance and repairs."
