We scheduled the project in less than a weeks time, The crew came promptly in the morning and spent about six hours completing the job. "It went very well. The only problem was that there was not enough allowance for the hvac floor registers to fit back into the vents. I had to cut back carpet to get them to fit. Otherwise I was very pleased. If I had not been preoccupied with other contractors at the time, I might have caught it and had the carpet installer make the cuts before he left. I am most pleased with the carpet. Kathy Ranalli was very responsive and kept me up to date via text and phone on the progress and follow up on my project."

"Installers played music very loudly while working and left garage door open to house while working.  
Floor looks ok from quick glance but when you look closely as in when cleaning you can find lots of defects in wood patches where nicks and chips were tried to cover up and in one spot even a staple is visible that was tried to cover with wood filler.  They also used LOTS of staples to hold the wood floor down which caused splintering of my subfloor.  It took me 2 hours to clean up
the mess it made in my basement below this room.  I would not call them again

"Jeff May and his crew did a fantastic job, refinishing our extraordinary, old growth, wide-plank, reclaimed hardwood floors. We live in a 3-story townhouse, and each floor has a different type of unique wood. Jeff effectively restored each floor to its original beauty, allowing the distinctive features of the wood in each plank to shine through. Moreover, he used an environmentally friendly, water-based, non-toxic polyurethane sealant that had minimal fumes, and allowed us to stay in the house (with our pets) throughout the process. He even found, and stained to match a new piece of wood to fill in a small space, that had been left bare after some remodeling work in our kitchen. It looks exactly like the reclaimed wood next to it. Amazing! Jeff is an artist; meticulous about detail; conscientious and thorough; and extremely knowledgeable about wood. He and his team were very pleasant to have in our home, and cleaned up after each day's work. Finally, Jeff was far less expensive than any other hardwood floor refinishing company that we interviewed. The entire project, including shoemold installation, was under $1500. Jeff and JM Hardwood Floors have our highest recommendation."
