"Charged double the original estimate to *prep brick* so the job would be durable and the paint would not fail. Brick started bleeding through less than a year after job was completed. Refuses to stand by warranty which was clearly listed on their website. Would never ever recommend them for any type of service. If you are unfortunate enough to hire them, be warned and keep track of how many people are on site and for how long."

Him vetted his team of contractors to make the project seamless-from electricians to tiling to painting. Everyone was professional and friendly and cleaned up after. "Wolverine Contracting Design + Remodel provided us with exceptional craftsmanship for our renovation. They weren’t our cheapest option but their unique cost-plus process of contracting, clear & transparent labor rates and discounts saved us thousands on our projects. We have never seen a company operate in this manner, but it just made complete sense to us, and it works extremely well. Along the way we were a bit indecisive and made a few changes which added work to the original scope, increased our budget and timeline, however Douglas immediately shifted into another gear and was able to incorporate our changes within the original design. He is extremely honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable of his trade. His communication skills and integrity were second to none. I don’t know how he handles all the stress, but he makes it look easy. All team members and subcontractors were respectful of us and our home and a pleasure to work with as well. We highly recommend Wolverine Contracting and will be contacting them for any future projects."

He helped us navigate a complicated insurance process with patience and clear explanations, which made a stressful situation much easier to manage. Once that was handled, Steve worked closely with us on the design and layout, making sure the space actually fit how we live. He didn’t push generic solutions and paid close attention to the details throughout the build. Communication was consistent, follow-through was strong, and nothing was left unfinished. What sets Steve apart is his enthusiasm for custom work. He combines creative design ideas with practical construction experience, which made a big difference when solving layout challenges and building custom features.
