"excellent 1. Although I though the carpet was a bit pricier for the bedroom than I expected - it has been 10 years since I did it the last time and so I don't have a good guide to tell me otherwise - I will say that I did get competing bids on the other flooring and they were right in the mix. within a few hundred dollars - but their service is great! They were very good about ordering the carpet - and installing it quickly before new furniture is delivered - the installers went about their work quickly, neatly, quietly and were great to deal with - No real need to deal with them at all - the best kind of worker - no needed assistance or supervision - just get out of their way and let them do their thing! I expect I will hire them to do the other flooring because they were so good."

"I thought they were too expensive. I picked out the carpet immediately and told the guy that I was moving into a new place. I told them that I couldn't move everything in until the new carpet was laid. It wasn't cheap but the carpet was laid within three days. They called me immediately, the guy showed up when he was suppose to, the carpet was nice, and my experience was 100% positive."

"Started well then the job lingered. Between unexpected trouble with the sub floor, not their fault, several sick days, and items not ordered for the job, it took longer than quoted. The other inconvenience was it took them two weeks to remove the ripped out carpet. <br />"

"My hardwood flooring which was installed by All About Flooring last year was recently damaged when new appliances were delivered to my home. I was so upset my gorgeous, perfect hardwood floors were damaged badly. Mike was great. He new exactly what to do and he assured me the floor would look like new again. The floor looks perfect, like it never happened! <br />"

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"Mike and his assistant Jason did a fantastic job. I just can't commend them enough. They were thoughtful, punctual, careful and pleasant. I have had floors installed in other houses, but this crew was by far the best of the lot. Thank goodness I got a recommendation to call Comer's Flooring. I'm shocked there are not many wonderful review already on Angie's list. You will not be disappointed in their work or their fee."

"First, the carpet job. It came out perfect. Since we were not at the home during the installation, Colebrook Carpet needed to get the carpet to the house ( remember, the carpet I bought at the big box store) and also needed to move several rooms of piled up furniture. The installation was really perfect! Up a stairway, around hallways, joining other non-carpet floors, absolutely perfect. Not a thread out of place. <br />Now the tile job... Of all the work done at this major remodel, nothing blew us away more than when we walked into the master bath and saw what an expert can do with tile. It is an amazing job, very, very well done and far better than we expected. 5 star all the way. One last point. Donald from Colebrook Carpet is the guy who set up and did all the work. The price for both the carpet and tile work was very reasonable.half what you would pay in he City. Our money was well spent- yours will be too."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Plymouth, NH

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
