"REVIEW APPLIES ONLY TO ATCO SUBCONTRACTOR and Adonis Warren, the installer. <br /> <br /> Absolutely perfect. <br /> <br /> Took a day and a half and installer took the time to clean up after the Builder's carpet installer. <br /> <br /> (Trash under old carpet including extra nails, food wrappers, spare wood, concrete mess and cigarette butts.) <br /> <br /> Unable to see seams in new install and for the first time there are NO sharp things where the carpet joins tile or wood flooring. <br /> <br /> Congratulations to Lowe's for having the good luck or good sense to hire this company!"

"First, the shopping experience was great.  Steve did a fine job of providing information & prices.  I gave an A for the price, but I haven't done any comparison shopping.  I chose a higher end Karastan carpet.  My carpet came in within a week.  <br /> The installer, Bret, and his helper were top notch.  They arrived on time and were very professional.  The install took only 4 hours, including furniture removal and replacement.  They even helped me put the bedskirts back on! <br /> The install itself is perfect.  I have several closet organizers that were installed over the old carpet.  I thought it was going to be a problem, but it wasn't for these guys.  Good experience. <br />"

"We were having some work done on a condo we own in order to put it on the market. In replacing the bathroom vanities, we discovered that the sizes varied from what was available originally, and the tile under and around the vanities needed to be replaced/enlarged. W&W had put in the original tile, so we contacted them. Jacob told me that the tile had been discontinued, but he would try to find some. He checked their warehouse, which had none, and then called around, finally located several boxes in Memphis, and had them shipped down. The tile arrived about a week later, and W&W installed it in a timely fashion, coordinating with the company that was actually putting in the new vanities. <br /> We were very pleased with how Jacob went above and beyond in locating the tile for us, with the promptness of service, and with the price. <br />"

"As anyone with a motorhome knows, the carpets fade and discolor very badly. We were provided with an estimate over the phone from Color Your Carpet. The final price was within the range quoted. They arrived promptly at the specified appointment time. After a brief discussion about what color I wanted, they mixed up a color that was exactly what I was looking for! They were done quickly and we are VERY happy with the results! My 10 year old RV carpet looks almost like new, for a fraction of what replacing it would have cost. I highly recommend Rich and Color Your Carpet! <br /> <br />"

"I bought a dishwasher, an installation agreement, and a 5-year warranty. The whole process was easy. Everything was on sale. The dishwasher, the 5-year warranty, and the installation were on sale. I dealt with a very young man and he was very well informed, and very, very helpful. I had all the time with him that I needed. He answered all  my questions about several other appliances, and showed me some options for other appliances because I was considering replacing more than one. It was a pleasant experience. I have no complaints. I got my whole package. I had the thing delivered, installed, and the old one hauled away. I got my warranty and everything included for the price I would have paid for the dishwasher alone had I bought it at any other time. Lowe's had the product that I was looking for whereas Home Depot did not, that was why I switched stores."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Point Clear, AL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
