"Just had a job done by JP carpentry. My experience was wonderful. The owner is friendly, punctual, knowledgeable, and I was very satisfied with the entire job. I will be definitely hiring him for other projects in the future. I highly recommend this company to anybody who has projects that need to be done. Thanks. "

"Prior to installation, my water heater was old but compliant with local laws and passed inspection. After installation, it failed inspection, and Raider Rooter refused to address the issue. They claim I need an electrician to install a shut-off valve, citing a “new law,” but this requirement has existed since 2011—something any reputable plumber should know. I offered to split the cost; they declined, leaving me with a water heater that now fails inspection. Their contract did not disclose this potential need, which would have changed my review. Instead, they left me with a non-compliant water heater."

"The communication, or lack thereof, is evident in the reviews; we had the same response. We contacted Carl after a neighbor suggested him. I had one phone conversation, and literally within an hour, my spouse comes home to be greeted by a different neighbor who tells my husband that he just found out that we are buying the filtration system! I had not even spoken to my spouse about it, but Carl or someone from his office thought it was okay to discuss our private conversation. I let that go. Then it took months to get his business license and insurance information. We live in an HOA, and I needed the approval to get this done. Then, when we finally got the documents, Carl and his tech dropped off all of the equipment on the side of my house near the AC units, which sat for Two Months after they told me the installation would be the next Wednesday morning. Then, when the tech finally did the installation, the guy had to dig through sand and rock, and he deposited all of the sand and rock IN our LANDSCAPING almost smothering the bushes. I had to remove all of it; otherwise, all of the hedges would have died (as confirmed by our landscaper). So, Carl could not respond in a timely fashion in any other interaction but showed up promptly about a week after the installation with the bill, for which we paid nearly $3,000 within a couple of days. Fast forward a few weeks, and three of our hedges start turning a red or bronze color they are dying because the tech directed a hose releasing who knows what into the landscaping. I call Carl to tell him, and he assures me he will stop by immediately. He never shows up. I call multiple times thereafter, but no one answers the phone. I text. Nothing. I emailed him on 1/30/23 with a dozen photos; he has not replied. Mind you, his office is a four-minute drive from our community. Nothing...... So now the HOA is asking us about the landscaping replacement. Why do we have to incur the time and expense to repair or replace landscaping that was killed as a result of his installation mistake? He is the owner of the business and should make this right. Stop by to see the issue and fix it. Reply to the email. Answer phone calls or texts. I would not recommend this company. Do your research first and look at the reviews and the dates of the reviews. This was our mistake we listened to one neighbor. They did not even leave us a guide to the system... Terrible business practices. Terrible customer service."

FAQs for well pump repair or service projects in Pompano Beach, FL

A standard well inspection begins with a visual inspection of the pump, casing, storage tank, and wiring, followed by flow rate tests and laboratory-based water sampling. The goal is to confirm that every part meets safety standards and to identify any necessary repairs before they become expensive. An inspector will also test your water quality for substances such as volatile organic compounds and any local containment concerns.

Book a licensed, insured well specialist for your inspection. Many well‑pump contractors also hold inspection credentials. They’ll bring the right tools to assess the pump, wiring, and water quality, and provide you with a clear report on any necessary fixes. Before you hire, confirm their license, insurance, and recent customer reviews.

Plan on a full well inspection every year. You’ll also want one any time the cap comes off, after septic repairs, or if flooding occurs. Annual tests look for total and fecal coliform; every two years, the lab should screen for metals and nitrates, and every five years for VOCs and pesticides. If you’re buying a home with a private well, it’s essential to schedule a pre-purchase inspection.

With routine care, most wells supply clean water for up to 40 years. Lifespan depends on the type and how well you protect it. To help it reach the maximum lifespan, keep hazardous products far from the casing, ensure the cap stays sealed, schedule yearly inspections, and address problems as soon as they appear. Good habits keep the system healthy and the water safe.

The average cost of well repairs ranges from $100 to $2,800. Your final bill depends on which part—pump, pressure tank, casing, or piping—needs attention and the level of complexity involved in the repair. A thorough inspection identifies the problem, allowing you to budget accurately and avoid paying for unnecessary parts or services.
