"WONDERFUL!! They came when they said they would, the job lasted 1 day, as they claimed and they did more than expected.  There was too much cord from the previous cook top underneath & they got rid of that making it very neat & possible for us to get pull outs in that space.  They found a way to get rid of one of our dead spaces under the counter.  We got a cabinet & they installed it for us so we now have working space in that area.  They turned our faucet around correctly (it was installed crooked by the plumber).  They did section off the kitchen to keep the dust down to that area only.
I had wanted granite, but they put the new 3D laminate in & it looks beautiful.  I'm so glad we went this route.  It saved us a lot of money, looks better than granite and I don't have to treat it every so often.  It will be much easier to keep clean than the granite we have in our bathroom.  I spend enough time in the kitchen, don't need to add to it by polishing the counter tops before company comes over.  I highly recommend this company!!

"Very well. There was some confusion at first in ordering a special online. After that was taken care of, he offered to coat our countertop with some special coating, which was needed since the previous owner simply painted the countertop with latex paint."
Heavy rust under the bathmat used to cover it
Good shape but very dated
Deep soaking tub but hard to step over sidewalls
Looks infinitely better and compliments the newer granite vanities. The customer wished she’d know about this before the new vanity installation!
Dated granite good condition

"We didn't want to have to remove all the tile and the bathtub - too costly. So we decided to refinish the bathtub. They came on time and did the work. It was done very well and we were given instructions on letting dry overnight and then how to remove the paper that was used to keep the walls from being damaged with the material they used to refinish. The tub is like brand new!"

"Flooring installation was great, and my new back splash is beautiful. Dalton & Henry did a very professional job. They were on time, polite, careful with my personal household items and played with the dog. Carpet was installed. installers were great. Yellowstone Granite was sub-contracted to install granite. It rained, over night that morning, granite was outside before it was delivered and installed. It is yellowish/gold color, instead of white. Either it was never sealed or sealed correctly. I've been promised over and over again, by my contractor, Travis that it would be stripped and resealed. Yellowstone never called. They also owe me two pieces of granite that was left from the large stone to go under my Grandfather clock and a mini fridge. I feel that A Touch of Grace did not deliver the beautiful kitchen I was promised. Also the dishwasher was not properly reattached to the counter top. Every time i open it, it falls open. These project were in late August, early September still not resolved."

"We had an excellent experience dealing with Roma Tile. Their sales manager Lou Ann and designer Samantha are very patient & knowledgeable. The tile came in as promised 4 working days after we ordered, and when I needed to add some additional tile to our order, as we mis-calculated our requirements, they expedited delivery of additional tile. This was very important, as the tile installers were on the job, and I didn't want to delay their completion."

"I used Joe to remodel my bathroom in 2009 and asked him to come back and do the kitchen. He had found some beautiful, large granite tiles at a ridiculously low price, and I elected to have him do the tile work on the countertops. (I have a huge kitchen, and buying granite slabs was cost-prohibitive.) Joe directed me to a tile showroom where he gets a discount, and I picked out the floor tile. He had a larger crew than he did in 2009, as there was a lot more tiling to be done. The crew arrived when scheduled and all had a great work ethic. As in 2009, he advised me to be my own contractor, but as in 2009, he ended up doing most of the calling and coordinating among plumbers and electricians. I already knew that Joe's work was superb, and I wasn't disappointed with this huge project. The big lesson with the kitchen project is that all things seldom run smoothly. My countertops are not even (1978 house), and Joe was unable to make everything perfect because of the underlying foundation shift. He informed me of the problem after having redone one section several times. I OKed the work that he did, and the unevenness is not noticeable to the casual eye. When it came time to return the stove to its spot, (I had purchased a new Jenn-Air with a smooth top in 2007), the new, higher countertop caught the glass top, causing a crack. A $500 crack, which Joe immediately took responsibility for. He couldn't have been more apologetic, and eventually, the stove top was replaced by an authorized dealer, at no cost to me. In 2009, Joe built in the sealing of the floor tiles into his estimate. (He has another contractor do that part for him.) He evidently did not build that part into his estimate in 2010, so I was surprised when the contractor asked me for payment. I told him that Joe would pay him, and called Joe. He started to say something, paused, and then said he would take care of it. He did. I later looked at my contract with Joe and discovered that he had not written the sealing into it. I do not know if this was an oversight or intentional, but it was my fault for not catching it. He, nevertheless, paid this amount. All of the work he did is outstanding, and I am more than pleased with the outcome in all areas of my home."

"It looks awesome!!  It takes several hours to apply all the coats of enamel, but it is worth it.  My bathtub looks brand new.  The difference is amazing.  I would definitely use Tubs and Counters again.

FAQs for laminate countertops installation projects in Poolville, TX

With the right care and a professional installation, laminate counters last 10 to 15 years. Wipe up spills quickly, clean with a nonabrasive product, and keep hot pots off the surface to prevent warping or scorch marks. Limiting prolonged moisture at seams also pays off. Your installer can walk you through simple maintenance habits that will help you squeeze every year out of your new counters.

Yes—if the existing laminate is solid and level, a pro can bond a fresh sheet right on top. They’ll rough up the old surface, apply the correct adhesive, and make precise cuts so the new layer sits tight. Skipping steps can lead to bubbles or weak seams, so this project is best left to an experienced installer who has the tools to deliver a clean, durable finish.

Absolutely, you can give tired laminate a facelift with paint, tile, or a concrete overlay instead of a full tear-out. The key is thorough prep: clean, degrease, and lightly sand so the new finish sticks.

Follow the product instructions for primer, sealers, and cure times, or hire a pro if you’d rather avoid the mess. When done correctly, these updates freshen the look and add a few more years of useful life.

Mix baking soda with just enough water to form a paste, then spread it over the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Wipe away with a soft, damp cloth—don’t scrub, as abrasives can dull the surface. Repeat if needed. For stubborn marks, ask your installer about cleaners made specifically for laminate.

Laminate isn’t built to battle the elements. Water, UV rays, and temperature swings quickly cause swelling, fading, and mold. Even a covered patio won’t protect the material for long. If you’re planning an outdoor kitchen or bar, skip laminate and choose a weather-tough option like stone, tile, or concrete so you don’t end up replacing your counters after the first season.

Traditional laminate isn’t the greenest choice. Most sheets rely on plastics like melamine and can emit trace VOCs over time. They also can’t be recycled at the end of their life. A few brands now use recycled pulp cores, but plastics still make up much of the product.

If sustainability tops your list, consider natural or recyclable materials such as solid wood, stone, or recycled glass instead.
