"John Moore sent a gentleman out initially to assess the problem, he happened to be a Supervisor. He was extremely professional and very complete in his assessment of the problem. He recommended that we replace our unit due to its age and condition. Then he worked with us to get the best unit for our house and worked with us on the financing options. Tom Lee was the initial person to come to our house and once we had decided on our plan of action Tom went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible system for our house. Excellent customer service skills and a very nice man. We got lucky !!!!! The installation crew was even better. They were very professional, courteous, and precise in what they were doing. It took some time to complete the job, but not because of the crew; it was due to the fact that they went the extra mile to make sure that the install was done correctly and they had to correct some mistakes that a previous installer made (not John Moore staff). My wife and I would highly recommend any and all John Moore services for your home needs. We have used their Plumbing, Electrical and now their A/C service teams and they are all top-notch. I am a general Handyman with a current EPA Universal Certification, which means that I am licensed to handle any and all refrigerants that are currently available. I am also a Journeyman Mason, handling all aspects of masonry. I am also very familiar with installing/running new wires for cable tv, as well as internet jacks, excluding fiber optic cable. Electricity and plumbing are another set of skills that I have, but I am not licensed in Texas to do anything requiring a permit in those fields. English and Spanish are my languages, with a preference for English.

"Appointment 1: they got held up on a previous job and didn't make the appointment I called and rescheduled for Appointment 2: they arrived on time, determined it was a simple fix (replace capacitor), executed the fix. Within 2 days, we realized the A/C was still not working correctly Appointment 3: Came out, determined that a new compressor was needed. Compressor was under warranty. They said that they could get the part and would call us back "ASAP" to schedule repair. they never called back. I called, talked to the owner and heard the office person in the back say "I was going to call her this morning" - so he said they'd be calling me, they didn't call back. I called that afternoon (Friday), and she said "we can't do anything now, it's too late on a Friday" - at this point we'd gone another week without A/C. Scheduled appointment for Tuesday. Appointment 4: They call and say they got the wrong part, can't get back to get the right part in time. Rescheduled AGAIN for the following day. Appointment 5: They show up on time, fix the unit. Original quote was a $$$$$, but after discussion, they reduced the charge to something more reasonable. We can now get the A/C to run so it's better than it was, but it is STILL flipping the breakers (which it never used to do), at this point they say it's not the A/C unit, it's an electrician issue. I think that technically these guys know how to fix an A/C issue, but their attention to detail (ordering the right part) and reliability on appointments could use some improvement."
