"Not a well known service but they are amazing. Victor really knew his stuff and was super friendly. Much superior to their competition."

"I think that service was postponed because the day they was supposed to come out it rained and that's one of the issues I had. They never called me to reschedule, so I had to call them."

"The overall quality of their work was excellent. Their timeliness and responsiveness were good. I thought their pricing was a bit high, but we liked their design best. I believe the workers could've been more careful with their equipment while working, as they wore an undesired path down my sideyard while moving stone and fill. Overall, I would use them again - but I'd also get other bids and consider other vendors as well."

"I decided I needed to sod my front yard prior to putting my house on the market as I had too many places I had been patching for years and I wanted a lush look. They had to work it in around our extremely rainy spring weather, but they came early on one of our rare dry days, removed all the old grass and put in the new sod in one day. Then the clouds opened up again and I was able to take advantage of free watering for a couple of weeks. Matt gave me a very good price, even offered to work around the areas that were still growing well, though that would have made it more difficult for him. The lawn is beautiful and we have had many compliments on it from the neighbors. After I listed my house I realized I needed a load of river rock to finish a walkway project and to fill in some bare spots in the backyard, so I shot off an email to Matt Kaldenberg telling him I needed rock asap; here it was Friday, pictures of the house were to be taken Monday, I needed the weekend to spread it, and could he possibly get me the rock today? Within fifteen minutes his smiling driver was dumping $250 worth of rock in my driveway! Great service! Whenever I need advice (how much to water, how soon to mow, what fertilizer to use and when) I just send an email to Matt and he answers the same day."

"I have a driveway that's a hundred feet long. The gentlemen's name that runs it is Shawn Cosmen. He's always very friendly and helpful. He makes sure that he gets my driveway cleared in time for me to get out and go to work when necessary which is sometimes six in the morning. It's generally a nice group of guys that do this and they are always dependable. His prices are fair. I've already signed up for this year."

"I contacted Joe in late June, shortly after I had my sewer line replaced. Since we were heading into the dead of summer when it's too hot and dry to try and establish a lawn, I was planning on having the work done in September, after the weather broke. (Who knew we'd have a relatively cool and wet summer?) <br /> Joe gave me a quickie estimate of the work, which was quite competitive with other estimates, and promised to contact me in September. Which he did. Big plus for Frontline, as I went through probably a dozen landscapers who either never responded to my inquiry, or never sent an estimate after visiting the site. I ended up going with another company that was more aggressive in courting my business, but I'm not overjoyed with the work that was done. I wish that I given Joe a call to get him out here for a firm estimate. I'm definitely going to give him first chance at any work in the future. <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Prairie City, IA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
