"John called the morning of with ETA and arrived on time. The tile had not been sealed in a long time (I am busy) and my wife cooks great, but it realy dirtied the tile by the stove. Martin's All Floors brought my floor to new. I couldn't believe how much dirt was in the floor. They even painted the groute and sealed after the cleaning. This was a couple of months ago and I still look at the floors every day and saw "wow, this is a beautiful floor"! I will always call on Martin's to keep my floors looking new. Actually asked John to just keep me in a floor maintenance schedule from now on! Martin's also does my office carpet as well. Gets the grime from our technicians boots right out. Great people, great service, great price! Thanks Martin's!!!!"

"We had this done in a summer home that we had not yet lived in. We went to the store, based on the Angie's List recommendation. We paid in advance after picking out a color. Dealt directly with Reva and she could not have been any nicer or easier to deal with. Very pleasant and personable, making the process very seamless.  The installation was done after we returned to our winter home and the installer was kind enough to take pictures of the finished product and send them to me.
The only thing that I was not too happy with was the color of the molding, which I based on the color that the vinyl looked in the store. It looked greyish white in the store and once installed in my bathroom, very definitely a light beige. I chose a grey molding because of this and it does not look all that great with the beige floor. But all in all, for doing this quickly, and mostly long distance, I am pleased with the results.
The only reason I did not give them an A for professionalism was because when we met with the installer to pay him for his services, he smelled of alcohol.

"The installation process was quick and neat, and went smoothly. They even scheduled the carpet removal for one day and returned another day to install the carpet so that we could have cabinetry installed in between. Very professionally done. Their carpet cleaning service uses steam and is efficient and thorough, and they don't have a lot of extra fees for spot treatment, etc. Price is very reasonable and much better quality than the big franchise carpet cleaning services."

"We bought a home that had been mistreated by miscreants and "just had to have everything cosmetic removed."
The carpet looked like a grease pit and so we called "Nate's" (not listed prior on Angie's) in Prescott Valley and visited. We took in a flooring sample (tile) and talked to Nathan ... he's not crazy but he sure came to our rescue.
While the price 'may' have been a bit higher than the very lowest prices (we didn't look) HIS selection, the quickness, punctuality and professionalism was just outstanding. Trying to get a home ready to be moved into in one week (!) was a daunting task (undertaken by my wife who did work miracles) but the carpet removal and installation (1000 sq ft) was completed in few hours with a just few days notice of our needs. That is remarkable ... we even had to have the carpet "ordered" and brought into the region and still Nate pulled it all together. We are so happy with the install, the folks who did it (great installers) and the quality of the product. We recommend without reservation Crazy Nates Flooring. "You" would be crazy NOT to use them! Thanks Nate!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Prescott Valley, AZ

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
