"We are very pleased with our new deck roof project. It turned out even better than we even thought it would. Your installation crew of Ricardo and T.J. were awesome to work with, and were very courteous as well as professional. They both were willing to take time and explain the process of the construction, and ask if we had any concerns or questions. Your office staff was courteous and we were able to communicate with them via e-mail and telephone. Thank you for a job well done, we are looking forward to many happy years enjoying our new deck roof."

"We chose VKB mainly on its reviews on this website. Overall the experience was very positive. We were pleased to learn that VBK did not charge a fee upfront to design the kitchen. Calvin (kitchen designer) made excellent suggestions to improve our original vision and was responsive to changes to the design. Calvin convinced us to choose wood floor and crown molding, and the type of range hood, and he was right on all counts! Because of the smooth design process with Calvin and reasonable price, we decided to sign on with VBK over other companies. The implementation phase had some bumps: the design drawings that Jason (project manager) and Ismar (crew leader) started with were not the updated version, but thankfully that was quickly rectified. In addition there were some misunderstanding on the scope of the painting area, but Calvin agreed to honor what we had discussed verbally, even though it was not spelled out in the contract. Jason listened and patiently explained the project process, and kept asking to make sure that we were happy with the progress. For example, he agreed to redo the placement of the undercabinet lights. He also accommodated our desire to donate our old cabinets to Habitat for Humanity, and Ismar and his crew carefully took the down the cabinets and stored them in our garage for pickup later in the week. Ismar, Luis, and the rest of the crew did a fantastic job installing and painting everything, and their experience showed in disguising the fact that our walls were not straight and the floor was not even. We were also impressed with the laser tools that they used to guide cabinet and light placements. The crew was careful, meticulous, and respectful, and they cleaned up throughly every day. There were other crews handling the flooring and countertops, who also did top notch work, and all were coordinated like clockwork by Jason. Along the way, we learned some lessons and offer the following advice: if you are particular about the placement of your celling lights, electrical outlets and switches, let the crew know, and they will do their best to accommodate. Also, pay attention to every single detail in the contract; if not specified, there can be a misunderstanding, and a deviation may require a change order and extra expense. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the excellent quality of the work, and even though there was a delay in the backsplash order, the job finished as projected. We definitely recommend VKB, and we love our new kitchen. Jason -- we are happy!"

"Exceptional Service & Quality Work! I recently hired American Eagle Building & Design, LLC to help rearrange a few areas in my day spa (Jacqueline Morgan Day Spa) and create two new treatment areas in Solomons Island, MD. From the very beginning, their communication was outstanding. They listened carefully to everything I asked for and remembered every detail throughout the project. Their attention to detail was truly impressive—every aspect of the job was done with precision and care. They stayed true to their original estimate, which was incredibly detailed and transparent, with no unexpected costs. The team was also very easy to talk to, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was their cleanliness and professionalism. At the end of each day, they left the space spotless, which was so important for my business. If you’re looking for a reliable, skilled, and professional construction team, I highly recommend American Eagle Building & Design, LLC. I couldn’t be happier with the results!"

"The sales team was knowledgeable, thorough, and they gave us a very good price, but the greatest credit goes to the crew, who did an excellent job with true quality workmanship. We highly recommend FA Outdoor Spaces!"

"This review is for the Champion in Baltimore, Maryland (Essex area).  I don't know if all Champions would offer the same quality and customer service.  First of all, I would like to say that we love our sunroom.  It faces the woods behind our property and we have enjoyed watching the wildlife....birds, groundhogs, squirrels and even deer.  The 4-season Champion sunroom is solidly built and has the feel of a true addition rather than just a porch.  We had their vinyl beadboard installed on the ceiling and the house wall.  Instead of the carpeting they offered, we installed our own Pergo wood laminate floor which turned out great.  An electrician installed a ceiling fan, electrical outlets and a wall light for an additional cost.  We did not get the heat pump that they offered--we are trying a space heater and fan since we have some heating/air conditioning coming into the sunroom with the French doors open.  All the staff was helpful, polite and professional.  Did everything go perfectly?  Does it ever on a big project?  The French door installers started to install the door backward from what we wanted--luckily we caught them in time and it was possible to correct.  One window was defective in that it had handprints inside the 2 glass panes, but Champion quickly replaced it. Overall, the project took 5 weeks (it could have been shorter) and went well.  We truly enjoy the extra space and relaxing/scenic view. Our three cats are thrilled also."

"Deck Cetera was only one of the 6 companies that contacted me for me to  get a quote from.  They were professional from the start.  Was quick with writing and emailing the details.  They seemingly had all their 'ducks in a row' for the most part. Once the project was started...I had to stay check on them and ultimately they DID DO WHAT OUR CONTRACT said and I am VERY happy about that. It just took more effort on my part to follow up on things to get to that end result.....more than I would have thought. But they DID go to the effort to make sure I was happy and to  do everything I asked. That is much more than most companies do. IT is a beautiful patio and my tenant is happy that we did that for her. Overall...I would give them a letter grade of B+ if there was one.  I will give them a bit ...so I gave them an A."

"Tony and EA roofing are great! I needed to have my roof replaced due to hail damage. Tony helped to facilitate the entire process for me and made everything as easy as can be. Their guys put on a great new roof using landmark pro materials. They were in and out in 1 day, cleaned everything up and left us with a beautiful new roof. I highly recommend EA roofing. Thanks Tony!"

"I had need for a relatively quick turnaround for upgrading of a worn out kitchen.  Called Competitive Painters and Robert Coulter came to discuss options.  I should mention that I had two other companies come to provide estimates.  The owner of one of them, a highly rated Angies List company, spent most of her time telling me that I should talk to a real estate agent about how my kitchen should look.  She had no helpful ideas or suggestions.  In contrast, Mr. Coulter explained several options - including services that his company could not provide.  He pointed me to a reasonably-priced granite counter top provider and Competitive Painters prepared and painted all of the kitchen cabinets.  They worked within my limited time period and coordinated their work with the countertop company.  The work they did was neat and professional.  I was very pleased with the results.

"We selected this company for several reasons.  The salesman/estimator, Kip, was professional, knowledgeable, and interested in what we were trying to accomplish.  He had several creative suggestions.  Additionally, we were impressed with the explanation of the quality of the deck and patio that was to be constructed.  Finally, Steve Edwards, the owner of the company, was personable, knowledgeable, and was willing to work with us on price, including some extras that we asked for as the project was underway.  As far as construction goes, the deck carpenter, Reuben, is a master at his art.  (Kip, the salesman, had told us that we would be impressed with Reuben's work ethic and craftsmanship.  He wasn't kidding.)  Reuben had an assistant to help him tear down our old deck, dig new holes, and to cart down the wood, but for all intents and purposes, Reuben built the deck himself.  It looks beautiful (the lighting suggested by Steve, the owner, worked well) and is sturdy as a fortress.  Reuben was also very polite, kept the yard in order, making sure to clean up debris and tools at the end of every day.  We were also very pleased with the patio.  The construction crew was efficient, kept the debris cleaned up, and the patio and lighting are beautiful. The only issue we had was an electrical problem after the deck and patio were built.  Powerhouse wasn't as responsive as I had expected (based on the experience with the construction).  It took a few weeks to get someone out to look at it.  (In their defense, it was at the height of the construction season).  Ultimately, they solved the problem which had nothing to do with their workmanship and everything to do with our phone/TV service being on the same cirucut as the deck lighting.  The Powerhouse electrician diagnosed and solved the problem.  Bottome - We are very satisfied with Powerhouse.  I'd recommend this company to anyone.  It's personal service and high quality craftsmanship.

"They provided us with an estimate and alternatives, but more importantly, they arranged a service call to fix our immediate problem of a leaky roof on our current sunroom. Salesmen were knowledgeable and personable and did not use any high-pressure techniques. Should we decide to upgrade the sunroom, we'll call them back. Since they got our roof fixed, we now have more options and time to figure out what we really want to do."
