"Adam, the plumber, arrived on time. I thought the leak might require the replacement of the faucet so I had purchased one and had it ready. The faucet did in fact need to be replaced. He had everything replaced and working within 25 minutes. He was very customer-service friendly, professional, and cleaned up after he completed the job. The company guarantees their work for 2 years. I was extremely pleased and will call on Qualified Plumbing for any future plumbing needs."

"Brian Clark was one of the few plumbers who will regularly work on a Saturday.  We needed a leak repaired on a bathroom shower and the lines snaked due to a leaking washing machine.  Brian (and his helper son) arrived EXACTLY on time for our appointment and proceeded to make the repairs.  (This alone is worth an "A" rating, as I get so tired waiting for people <br /> in a "window" of  time.)  Brian and his son were courteous and quick,  They did both jobs in @ 1.5 hours. <br /> The only thing I would caution is if you pay by credit card, there is a 3% fee tacked on.  This is a small owner-operated business and so he does things the old-fashioned way. Because I was not wanting to pay by credit with the extra fee, I made arrangements to pay by cash and he even worked with me and waited while I went to my credit union for the money, though this is not his standard way of doing business.  If you want to pay by cash, plan on having it available. <br /> Now It is a little over two weeks later and my washer is leaking again, but in all honesty I was the one to suggest to him to snake out the lines based on previous leaking.  The shower head is working just fine.  So  I called Brian and he is very amenable to coming by on my next day off to take a closer look at the problem-- again being very understanding of my needs.  Hopefully, this time will be the charm.   I would recommend him based on his punctuality and work ethic. <br />"

"We hired Matt's company to remodel my brother's kitchen. When the project was completed, we were very happy that we had chosen him for the job. Matt was very professional, highly knowledgeable and easy to work with. He offered a number of suggestions throughout the project that greatly improved upon our initial concept. I highly recommend Matt's Maintenance & Remodeling company: they'll get the work done right and at a very decent price."

"He had to find a gas heater that would fit in the space in an older home and found a great quality version for cheaper than I could have bought one at a big box store. He also installed a circulating pump so we could have hot water at the distant faucet locations. The whole job was completed quickly and at a proper price. I would not use anyone else."

"Marion gave us a very clear estimate and walked through our options for repiping our 60+ year old home. It did take a few weeks to schedule the repipe, but once we were on the schedule they completed it in the time they allotted. The also changed our very old water heater. We were thrilled with their professionalism, quality of the work, and truly every other aspect of Hogtown's job. I would definitely use them again, but I hope I never have to! <br />"

"Apollo and his team installed laundry room cabinets and a bath vanity for us several months ago and we were so pleased with the work they did that we hired them again to replace another vanity and add under cabinet lighting in our kitchen. They promptly completed the jobs, even though the bathroom vanity replacement required relocating some plumbing. Apollo is always prompt, courteous, and efficient and I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing home repairs."

"A week prior to the scheduled start date, we were informed that there would be a one-day slip. The day prior to start, vendors delivered the materials needed for the installation. The McFall work trailer was parked on the street in front of the house. The day of the installation, a Porta-Pot and a dumpster were delivered and the Gainesville Building Permit posted. Workers arrived at 7:30 AM and quietly staged protective tarps over all the shrubbery adjacent to the house. At eight, shingles were being scraped off and the job was underway. It took two-and-a-half days from start to completion. On day one, the old shingles were removed, damaged decking was replaced, installed decking planks were re-nailed as required, openings for prior roof turbines and furnace were filled in, ridge vent opening cut, and peel-and-stick underlayment was installed. At the end of this day, there was no exposed roofing. We were safe from rain. The next day, radiant barrier insulation was laid down and 1?x4? perlins (wooden nailers to raise metal for additional insulation) installed. The metal roofing had been premeasured and cut to size before delivery. Each roofing panel was predrilled for the stainless steel screws to that when installed on the roof, each screw seated firmly and wasn?t omitted. The overlapping edge of each metal was fitted with butyl tape sealant. Replacement Sun-Tek CMG II skylights were installed. As in previous days, all debris was removed and a bar magnet rolled over the grounds to find stray fasteners. The last day, the final roofing panels were installed, the ridge vent installation was completed, gutters refastened as necessary and their leaf guards reinstalled. Our two storage buildings then received matching metal roofing. Mike McFall came by each day to check on progress and to see if there were any problems. Included in the contract cost was a wind mitigation inspection in which a professional inspects and prepares a report to be submitted to our insurer, undoubtedly resulting in lower homeowner insurance cost. I enthusiastically recommend McFall Residential Roofing."

"Contacted the company in the morning and they were able to get a technician on site by 2pm that day. He was able to quickly sort out the problem with the pressure valve and provided us with good training on what to look for if this happens again."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Putnam-hall, FL

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
