"Carl was excellent, as always! We have used Miller & Miller’s electric services for years, and they have consistently exceeded expectations. One time Dale (the owner) even helped us avoid a service charge by walking us through the problem resolution over the phone. Carl has been to our house for a number of projects, and he’s always thorough, professional, prompt and neat, making sure all materials are taken away."

"Chris and Ray arrived promptly on the day of service and got to work immediately. They were very courteous and quickly figured out what needed to be done to remove our old 50 gallon water heater and replace it with a new Rinnai tankless water heater. They did a great job with the install and even simplified some of our previous pipe layout that seemed needless complicated. The heater works great and is way quieter than I expected. In addition to the water heater, they also installed a whole house water filter, making sure the filters can be easily isolated with shut off valves for future maintenance. When the water pressure seemed a little low, they were able to tweak our pressure valve regulator so that the pressure to our faucets is now better than they were before the water filter was installed. Chris and Ray did a great job explaining the system to me and testing it to my satisfaction. They removed the old water tank and cleaned everything up. An overall terrific experience."

"I had a clogged washer drainpipe. One company could not fix it. Another company wanted $3,100 to replace 3 feet of pipe and remove the clog. Cary Plumbing came out, cleared the clog, tested it twice and the price was very fair! He also noticed one of the hoses to my washer was leaking and he replace it. I trust them and highly recommend them!"

"We needed to replace a failed kitchen faucet and Michael was able to fit us in the first thing the next morning. The faucet was replaced and the site completely cleaned up at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommended."

"Patrick came in, diagnosed ice buildup, cleaned and defrosted the freezer, cleaned the coils on the back, tested some parts, and made some recommendations in case it happened again. The work was fast, friendly and efficient, everything he did was well explained, and he completed the work in one hour. The charge was $74 (the regular service call fee plus tax). He is definitely on our callback list!"

"The Ice Maker was broken and the water was pooling inside the fridge. When I called Mr. Appliance Of Cary, the receptionist picked up right away, was very nice and it was easy to schedule an appointment. Tyler inspected the fridge and found several problems. He fixed the Ice Maker, unclogged the drain tube and was able to rebuilt the evaporator cover so we are not forced to buy a new one! Excellent service, would highly recommend. A+"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Raleigh, NC

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
