"I'd purchased an Aquasana Whole House Filtration system and needed it professional installed. WaterWork sent Mark, their guy for these types of installs, out to tackle the job. They provided a reasonable estimate and were back out within two days to complete the work. Mark did an outstanding job; he was punctual, polite and professional, and, as the photo attests, takes pride in doing neat work. The total cost was within the estimate and I'm super happy with the results. I'll have WaterWork out again to tackle my additional plumbing needs."

"They lowered the toilet and got a new flange for me. They gave me a $20 discount from the church paper. They were good and fast about the repair, but I feel the price was a bit. They were here right on time the next day. They also covered their shoes when they came in the door."

"Cregger Plumbing is a quality company with a really excellent team. They always go above and beyond to handle any service needs that you have. This is the third time that I have used this company. I found them on Angie's List, and needed a kitchen faucet be changed, to install an under the sink water filter for my kitchen faucet. Excellent coupons, excellent work. Shaun did my second repair call. Emergency call.... garbage disposal flooding my kitchen floor, got same day service plus a one year warranty. Could not ask for better service or price. My third call, an emergency again, James came to install a new hot water tank and a sump pump. Both of these items went out at the same time. The call center lady was not sure that they could handle the emergency today as they had a lot of frantic calls. 30 minutes later James was at my door, and he has spent 3 hours working on our flood emergency. Quick, efficient, courteous and trying so hard to not add to the already wet floor. Cregger Plumbing is my go to company. Pricing is competitive, and James even said...you might want to have someone else look for pricing purposes.....but I knew already pricing was fair."

"I've had a good experience. I had a plumber in here very recently that replaced some faucets that were all blocked up with problems. He did a very good job too. It was really good, they did a very good job. I had a situation I hadn't been able to use an upstairs bathtub for quite awhile because we've got a lot of iron and stuff in our water and was all clogged up and everything. And he did a good job in terms of it working and in terms of the way it looked when he got done. And then he also replaced a faucet on a sink. Well, two things in terms of repair, it worked real well and it looked very good."

"After they returned, we determined my well tank needed to be replaced also due to a ruptured bladder. I went an got the new tank while they preprepared for the change. So the incoming line from the well was replaced, new fittings installed to the and quot;Tand quot; into the tank, the tank was replaced and a valve added on the exit line of the tank It took about 6 hours total. The entire experience with M. Y. Plumber was excellent. Highly recommended. <br />"

"My furnace was not working and it was going to get down to the teens the following week. I called Hand H and they came directly and made the repairs. If I remember correctly they charge $60 or $65.00 for the call and $45.00 an hour after plus parts. The installer broke a replacement bring it downstairs and had to go to his truck to get another. They are very fragile and I am glad I did not try to do myself as I would have to eat my mistake and would only be guessing what the problem was anyway. I will call them to pre-check my air this coming summer."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Ray, MI

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
