"FRS Roofing won the bid to fix the main slate roof and the 4 rubber porch roofs on my home. Chris from FRS provided the winning estimate after taking a meticulous inspection of the roofs which included identifying the number of slates needed to restore the main roof. He also explained why the rubber roofs installed by a local contractor 20 years ago had prematurely failed. The FRS work crews assigned to our project were all skilled and knowledgeable of their craft. Every crew member possessed a good demeanor and showed respect for our property. Once started, the job was completed without delay as can sometimes occur when a crew is pulled to work on another project. An unforeseen delay did occur when the chimney was being re-flashed. During the bidding process, all visible sides of the chimney appeared to be in fair shape. Once the crew could see the far side of the chimney, they discovered it was completely devoid of mortar. I was shown a photo of this miracle house of cards and immediately authorized a complete rebuild of the chimney which FRS performed at a reasonable additional cost. There were no surprises with the rubber roofs. The original fiber board underlayment which was disintegrating from water damage was replaced with a new material that is impervious to water. Also, the proper rubber was used on the edge strip to prevent it from peeling off as had happened on the old rubber roof. Overall, I am more than satisfied with the job and would not hesitate to use FRS roofing again for any property new or old!"

They acknowledged the problem but it took months, and constant badgering by email and phone, to get them to come back and fix the problem. They tried a temporary fix with sealer, which failed in weeks, and then it took weeks longer to get them to come back and install a fascia apron. The next year, my rubber roof leaked where they had flashed it. Again it took months to get them to come back and look at it, with constant badgering. When they came back they applied a copious amount of sealer and told me that I had a rot problem with a wooden railing that I would need a carpenter for, and that they would send me photographs and suggestions for repair. They never replied after that, and the leak continued despite their sealing attempt. I finally gave up and found a new roofer, who tells me that they did an inferior job in the first place, and the repair is costing me thousands of dollars."
