"it went amazing. Even though it was not a very large job, Ed came out three times to discuss project and my reservations. He was punctual, very informative and very congenial. I hired him and although we had some delays caused by wet weather, he finished the job earlier this month. His crew was outstanding in every way. Ed came by every day to make sure everything was going perfectly and it was. Everything was cleaned up meticulously and the crew even did a few extra things esthetically to make up for the slight delay caused by weather. "I mostly interfaced with Anthony but did speak with John and the company receptionist. All were very pleasant, professional, and super easy to work with. Anthony was understanding, patient, and helped me decide which work should be prioritized in order to stay within my budget. The Essex & Morris work crew arrived as scheduled, did excellent work, and didn’t leave a mess afterwards. I wish I had known of them the first time I had mason work done at my home as I wouldn’t have had to settle for inferior workmanship. My apologies to E&M for not writing this review sooner. The sidewalk sections and driveway asphalt paving were excellent! I highly recommend using Essex & Morris."

"Knowing how difficult it is to find a good, reliable and economical contractor, with a license and insurance, I spent quite a bit of time doing my research both on Angie's list as well as asking for references from friends and relatives. I ended up interviewing about 10 prospective contractors and once I had a few in the price range I wanted to pay, I used he evaluations on Angie's list to finally select Hudson Contracting.
Once the contract was signed, the crew showed up on the agreed upon date and the agreed upon hour. No small feat in today's world. There were 3 men on the crew, one of whom was Asm's ( owner) brother. Based on previous experiences with other contractors I thought I would need to "supervise" them to ensure the work was being done to specifications. Almost immediately I realized that this crew was excellent. They first scraped all the loose materials from the previous application. Once this was completed they power washed the walls. Then applied waterproof mortar where it was required. After the new mortar was applied they then applied the thoroseal with a brush. Unlike some other quotes I received, this contractor applied two coats. All windows were then caulked. And the bonus was that the crew actually cleaned all the windows with Windex. What contractor does that? 
Once the walls were finished then they tackled the roof, applying liquid roof and silver paint. The roof looked like new. This repair should push out replacing the entire roof 2-3 years. 
Once they finished all work, they cleaned up the entire job site and left it cleaner than when they arrived. On the final day, Asm, the owner came by to inspect the work to ensure it met his standards. 
In summary, Hudson delivered what they promised to do at the agreed upon price. There were no surprises, which sometimes happens with other contractors.  I definitely will use Hudson for any future work.

"He walked around the entire area in which we have the sprinklers and I was following him taking notes for my husband he was telling me exactly which sprinklers needed to be changed cause they were broken. We had one broken because of the tree root. There were some in the backyard. He is the only one who actually walked around and tested all of the sprinklers. He was thorough. He was clean. He was accurate. He gave us information that we needed. He was very thorough in his job and I was very impressed. Also, he gave us some advice on the sprinkler by the tree. He said if you want me to fix that sprinkler it will cost big bucks and I can’t guarantee because of the tree roots. You would be better off putting it on the corner of the front yard and having that sprinkler go over. That no matter what you do over the years it completely has been killing the pipe. They’ve been raising the sidewalk. He said no it isn’t a good idea. He was phenomenal. I know my husband is planning on calling him back again because now we need to update the box that controls the sprinklers. Jerome also said there was a pipe of something that was leaking near it. Originally he said don’t call us in and you can go and take it to the plumbing section and buy the part. The part is minimal, but you will pay $300 for the labor."
